{Saturday coffee and network whispers}
At Saturday coffee, I want to make sure that the text doesn't sound like it's from an old needlework magazine. Nothing against these magazines - I always enjoy leafing through them at flea markets - but we all know that knitting (and crocheting) is not outdated at all. On the contrary: the desire to make your own clothes, to be creative, to let your thoughts flow - it has rarely been as great as it is now.
Alone: this week I have more knitting and crochet projects up my sleeve for the summer. The "Summer knitting and crochet projects" guide is therefore an obvious choice, even if it conjures up typical, slightly slippery images in my head: I'm going to prove you wrong. Make yourselves comfortable and have fun reading!
Stripes, fleece - it fits
I'm still in full summer knitting mode. Whether it's a top or a shirt - the main thing is that there are few sleeves to knit. However, as a seasoned vacationer in Denmark, I know how delicate and fragile summer weather can be (hello last summer vacation, we painted many, many stones). So having something long-sleeved in your suitcase or wardrobe is never a bad idea!
So how about the new design by Rosa P.? The Freiburg-based designer recently published the pattern for the Roosi Blouse, which you can also buy separately from us. As in the original, you will also find Mohair Bliss by Pascuali in our knitting set, a soft, delicate silk-mohair yarn with a beautiful, extensive color palette.
The model is knitted from the top down. First you work the back, the so-called European shoulders are formed by increases in back and forth rows. Then knit the right and left front pieces. For the body, the two parts are joined together and knitted in rounds. The sleeves are also worked in the round - without decreases, which is why they flare out towards the wrist and fall airily.

Another long sleeve, but a very, very different model, can be found at ChrisBerlin with her Cozy sunset cardigan. The half-panel is the eye-catcher here, complemented by fine details on the sleeves.
Here, too, you knit seamlessly from the top down. First cast on stitches for the neck facing and work the right and left shoulder. Then pick up stitches for the front pieces and knit these individually up to the armpits. This is followed by the back yoke before everything is transferred to a needle and you continue in rows to the hem. The sleeves are knitted in the round, with the cast-off edges here and on the body in a contrasting color. You are working with Kosho from Ito and Modena from Lamana.
Anniversary at ChrisBerlin
Let's stay with Chris: The - you guessed it ;-)) - Berliner is very popular with you. She has been well known in the knitting scene at least since her Kolding.
As with everything, time flies and shortly after the Cozy sunset Cardigan, the No100 was released, a summer top that is also Chris' 100th design. Congratulations!
Of course, we have also created a knitting kit for you - and as with Rosa P., you can also buy ChrisBerlin's pattern directly from us.
Many possibilities
The summer shirt is incredibly versatile. The pattern are a kind of construction kit that gives you the opportunity to play with different widths, materials or details such as cables, stripes or pattern pieces and create a completely individual knitted piece. The base of the top is the cross-knitted panel at the neck. We have laid out everything for the third version of the fine knit kit - you will find Cumbria yarn from Pascuali in the kit.
This version has an A-line and has been knitted with an extra width of 16 cm in the example model. It is something for everyone who likes it nice and airy and loose. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about any of the other yarns presented in Chris' Ravelry description. The best way to do this is to send an email to support@maschenfein.de.

Sorry, but you have to see this
![Sunny slipover](https://www.maschenfein.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/sunny-slipover-24-1-2.jpg)

A few weeks ago, I showed you a first photo of the Sunny Slipover from Sandnes and possibly already expressed my enthusiasm. Sometimes I just get carried away.
But now the delivery of the crochet pattern (!) for the Sunny Slipover has been announced for our warehouse and nothing stands in the way of the matching set! I'm already browsing through the colors of Tykk Line by Sandnes (53% cotton, 33% viscose, 14% linen) and have a great desire for Granny Squares! They are essential for the design.
You crochet a total of nine pieces, which are joined together for the front section. The back piece is a large square, ribbons connect the two pieces together. In case you have any styling questions in view of the picture: I would go for a tank top or T-shirt "for underneath". You don't have to wear everything and I don't like it that airy either 😉.
So cute!
I was already thinking about how I could make adjustments for my size when I saw this design here: the Julie Jacket from Sandnes. Marisa discovered it during her visit to Sandnes (yes, in Norway!) and we all knew right away that we needed a matching crochet set!
You are also working with Tykk Line here and I think this little jacket is just incredibly cute. If you like, you can certainly crochet the sleeves longer - just keep in mind that you may have to plan for more yarn. Here, too, it is Granny Squares at the front and a large square at the back that give the model its shape.

Small, fine, light and airy

I would also like to recommend these two free patterns from Lamana: the shawls Luise and Luisa knit from one or two balls of Roma by Lamana. And even if my colleague Louisa rightly complains about a missing "o" - I still have to show you the patterns!
Each is knitted from the lower left side edge. The eye-catching feature of both is the lace pattern at the bottom edge. The finished small shawl is 123 cm long and 25 cm deep, large 165 cm and 32 cm respectively. I already had Roma in my hands at h+h and I can tell you: knit it. Really. I know it's very expensive, but it's worth it - and maybe small projects like these two shawls will be ideal!
... it's not over yet!
If you've already reached the end of your coffee, you might want to press the button on the machine again or pour yourself a refill. I still have a little something for you!
If you feel like it (and who doesn't feel like it ...), you should definitely take a look at our sale: We are currently selling the Cashmere Premium from Lang Yarns because we are making room for another manufacturer that you have been wanting for a very, very long time.
Since yesterday we have also opened our Franzi-Klee gates again! Until tomorrow evening, you can still buy one of the great natural leather accessories that are exclusively available from us.
As always, the products are only made by hand in the Leipzig studio once the order has been received. So please note the slightly longer delivery time. For an additional charge, you can also have your bag or pouch individually embossed - you can choose between natural, silver or gold. Only the cute stitch marker pouch Maki cannot be embossed, it is simply too small for that. So feel free to browse through all the products!

I also recently had a virtual date with Cheryl Mokhtari, who you also know as Coco Amour. Her designs are incredibly well suited to our refined tastes and Cheryl herself is even better than her designs - but you'll read more about that elsewhere soon.
The designer is currently on vacation and to share at least a little bit of the vacation feeling with you, she's giving you 30% off her patterns until tonight - both on Ravelry and on her website. The code is SUMMER30 - you can find all the information here in her post. The matching knitting sets are - of course! - from us. Have a look at this page.
Maschenfein knitting round
As always: no coffee without the Maschenfein knitting round. It's just too nice to browse through and show your knitted works or current projects.

I found two fine knitted designs from Miss K. and Inken. On the left you can see the Paul Scarf in cashmere 6/28 by Pascuali, on the right the Mininata in Como by Lamana. I have both scarves, one is more beautiful than the other. And they are really quick to knit!

At Melpomene you can discover a finished Feur top by Nordstrick made from Sole by Pascuali. I didn't even know the design yet - too beautiful!
Knitly has finished her Smilla Sweater by Anne Ventzel in Heavy Merino and Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive. Well, she still has to sew the threads, but that's always super quick. For others, that is. For me it can take up to two weeks.
This is always the time when I order a new project (at the very latest). As you know, I don't want to take too long a break. Which is why I'm continuing to work on my The Traveler Shell and simply filling the shopping basket at the same time. Better not to take any risks. Have a lovely weekend with lots of knitting time!
