After a completely wet start to June in some parts of Germany, we are now wishing for really nice summer weather. This can also be seen on the needles of the Maschenfein team. There is a lot of summer knitting. But also a little something to snuggle up with for the soul. What more could you want? But read for yourself:
Towards summer in linen
It's hard to believe: Sandra didn't cast on vacation! Then the vacation must have been really great. She can now knit the actual vacation projects on her terrace at home and then wear them on her next vacation.
A week's vacation and you might think that there must have been a lot of knitting in it - but in fact I didn't knit the whole vacation (for the first time!!!) and so the Tiril 18 Sweater from Sandnes from Line in the color Isblå is going into June and my actual vacation project, the Cabana Top from Cocoamour Knitwear in double Pure Silk in the color Blue Tit is looking forward to being cast on soon. Perhaps June will also bring weather that makes you want to knit in summer and provide some motivation to finish the top quickly!
I wasn't on vacation, but I'm also knitting my way to summer with Line from Sandnes - stripe by stripe.
As with almost every project, a few weeks ago I lost interest in the Seaside Tee by Cheryl Mokhtari in the line colors Kitt and Mørk Blågrå after I had cut off the sleeves. The shoulder and raglan construction was just so exciting and so much fun. Changing to stockinette in rounds is a bit sobering. Experience has shown that I then need a few days or weeks before I feel like knitting again. In the meantime, however, I'm working my way forward, as you can see. And it really is like this: strip by strip, things are going much better and faster. I'm now close to the hem and all that's missing are short sleeves and a few cuffs at all ends. Doable, right?
More stripes and a crochet border
Our Jule plays with a fine stitch design and transforms it into a summery shirt:
I fell in love with the new Dina sweater, but I was also in the mood for a summer knit. So I decided without further ado to knit it from Kinu with Washi. I work the stripes out of Kinu with Sensai, so the fleece remains intact. I can't wait to see how my Dina shirt turns out! I really like the colors already.
At Barbara's you can admire the progress on the last post of Auf den Nadeln. Final spurt, I'd say!
Summer can come! The straps have been adjusted and the little crochet trim from the pebble top was great fun again! Another two to three centimeters in length and my little one will be dressed for every occasion again 😉.
Cuddling is also allowed in the summer months
True friendship knits itself anti-cyclically through long wraps, as Judith proves. But she can't really go wrong with Carpe Diem by Lang.
I'm knitting anti-cyclically. It does feel a bit strange, but so far the temperatures are holding off, so I'm sitting by the lake knitting the Coral Reef Wrap by Lisa Hannes. It's to keep a dear friend warm on the terrace on crisp fall evenings. A bit like a woolen hug. It's her birthday in July, so I'm also giving anti-cyclical gifts ;-), but I'm hoping for many years of coziness for my friend.
Marisa has chosen a very cozy yarn combination for her latest design. You can hardly wait until fall is here again!
I urgently needed a wrap jacket recently, but all the designs I found somehow didn't fit my ideas. That's why I got stuck on an idea again and am now working on a new knitted design. I have chosen Cashmere 6/28 BIO and Mohair Bliss from Pascuali. Simply a dream combination! You can look forward to the Wilma wrap jacket in the fall!

Hello everyone, the things here are sooo beautiful! And new ideas for me.
At the moment I'm knitting a present (for Christmas 😁) for my sister-in-law, namely "Winter Lines". Made from Balayage and Manada with Nd.3.0 (it's a bit of a drag, I tell you). I have already knitted half of a total of 20 balls. I'm dying to start something new, but I've remained brave so far, and I really have only these two yarns to thank for that: Balayage and Manada produce a very nice stitch definition and the color is turquoise.
Just this week I sorted through my other wool stash and realized that I have enough to knit until the end of the year. But today's Saturday coffee brought me three new dream projects. It's so beautiful and terrible at the same time 🥹💖
Best regards
Tatsiana
