Isn't that wonderful? A day off in the middle of the week, garnished with maschenfein reading material. It's a great way to start a knitted May!

Just in time for the holidays, I knocked on my colleagues' doors again and asked them for updates on their projects. The result was another great mix for "On the needles". Some of them are knitting anti-cyclically, others are already well into summer. The best conditions to inspire you! Make yourselves comfortable and have fun reading!

Look forward to the fall

It takes a while before a design is finished and you can buy the pattern and knitting kit from us. And so Sandra is currently knitting a fine stitch model and putting Marisa's thoughts on paper. A real cozy dream that will be ready for you just in time for fall!

It all looks like we're going to start May with sunshine! Gorgeous!
The combination of cashmere 6/28 and mohair Bliss by Pascuali is also wonderful and will be gliding over my needles in May, growing into a new maschenfein design. It's planned for September so that you can snuggle up in it in the fall. And maybe Marisa will show you some more of it in the meantime.

Louisa has long sleeves once again. She couldn't get past the latest Anne-Ventzel model and fresh impressions from the trade fair. But read for yourself:

I'm going to take a page from good old Hesse: "And every beginning has its own magic ...". I'm currently knitting the Villa Wrap by Anne Ventzel. But unlike in our wool package, I'm knitting with Skadi from Hey Mama Wolf. The yarns presented by the label really impressed me at the trade fair and I wanted to knit something with them soon. Then last week I had the idea that the design and yarn could go together perfectly. And so I spent the last few days knitting stitch samples - that alone was fun. But now I can finally get started!

A mininata rarely comes alone

You can see a little in-between project from Jule. She waited patiently until her colors were available and is now getting started:

I'm the last one to finally finish the Mininata. I really wanted to knit it in Como Cashmere in pine and sage, so I had to wait until the colors were available. But now it's flying over the needles 🙂 .

And another mininata! Here with Mary-Anne.

Jule is joined by Mary-Anne. She has the "problem" of too many projects. Who doesn't know that? And so she just keeps on knitting pattern set after pattern set.

I took my time so that Jule wouldn't knit alone 😉 . Joking aside, of course I have too many projects on the needles and then I also decided that my mininata should become a midinata. So I knit until the two balls of Milano from Lamana are knitted up. In theory ... In practice, I'm ribbing because I slept at the beginning of the current pattern set. Well, more knitting fun for the same money!

Summer, sun, outdoor time

Pebble Top by Lene Holme Samsøe at Barbara.

Barbara has got summer on her needles. So when her daughter wants a new top, the color chart is consulted and her favorite model is chosen. I'm sure it will be loved again!

Early spring! My little girl wants a new pebble top from Lene Holme Samsøe - she has grown eleven centimetres in the last year. 🤭 The cognac-colored one was her favorite shirt, she wore it to the beach and summer parties, to school and to bed - and in winter as an undershirt. She remains true to her color scheme, and I knit with Pure Silk from Knitting for Olive in the color Copper. 😍

I'm super proud of a finished project that's just missing the buttons. But the next projects for May (and beyond ...) are already lined up!

Off the needles is my Lulu Slipover Junior from PetiteKnit in Double Sunday in Pink Lilac - now it's time for the buttons! I opted for the cotton buttons from Merchant & Mills in the color Mr. Citrus. Don't worry: Marisa has been busy reordering!

I'm really enjoying knitting and crocheting things for the children at the moment. But next up is something for me again. Namely the Mother's Day shawl Lotti from Pinta by Pascuali in the color beige.

What beautiful things are being knitted here! I want to knit at least half of them (I've already made a note of the alternative yarn for Villa Vrap by Louisa).
I want to knit lots of summer tees at the moment. Skagen Tee in soft peach color is growing on my needles right now. I've already made two samples for Seaside Tee (from Cotton Tweed by Erika Night) and I can hardly wait to get started on it. And at least four other shirts are hoofing it in front of my mind's eye. And I'm eagerly awaiting the release of a pair of cardigan patterns announced for May (maschenfein and Petiteknit)

Good morning, and happy May Day to everyone.
I am knitting the Mininata, it will be finished today. A great pattern and great pattern. At the beginning, I had to "rub" several times because I got "tangled". So you had to be careful not to slip in the row. But now the shawl will soon be finished. And when it's cooler again, it will be worn. I knitted it with Como Cashmere in blue and white, needle size 4.5.
Best regards
Michaela

I'm already looking forward to summer and have used the holiday to order some yarn. So that would go under the heading "coming soon to the needles". I have fallen in love with the Cumulus Tee O-Neck. And since there are two knitting kits for it, I want to try out both yarns.
