Hey Mama Wolf - Skadi Merino d'Arles GOTS

The Skadi Merino d'Arles GOTS from Hey Mama Wolf is one of the manufacturer's most popular yarns. This is probably due to the fibers from which the yarn is made. The fibers come from the rare European Merino d'Arles sheep breed, which has a fineness of 21 microns - the softest wool available in Europe. This rare breed of sheep gently tends the landscapes of southern France and the French Alps under controlled conditions. Due to the unusually strong crimp of the undercoat for merino sheep, yarn spun from this wool is particularly fluffy, soft and airy.
These organic fibers are spun and dyed in a GOTS-certified spinning mill in Istanbul. The certification ensures that the yarn is good for the environment, the sheep and the people involved in its production.
Skadi is light, voluminous and as soft as a cloud. The 3-ply yarn is wonderful for sweaters, jackets, hats and scarves.

Responsibility

Hey Mama Wolf attaches great importance to sustainably produced yarns. All fibers come from Europe, some even from Germany, where appropriate animal welfare standards apply. Dyeing is also as sustainable as possible, preferably with vegetable dyes in Vienna. Some yarns are GOTS-certified and therefore meet particularly high standards.
