On the needles {April 2024}

In the great hope that this weekend will spoil us with spring-like weather, I'm moving Barbara's post right to the front. The idea of sitting on the bench in short sleeves - with coffee and a slice of carrot cake, of course! - is just too tempting ...

I'm currently very fond of one knitted piece, the Shore Tee by Anne Ventzel. My big girl has already tried to convince me that she would also like it as a slipover - but how airy and cozy it will be with sleeves! I'm knitting with Pure Silk from Knitting for Olive and Cashmere Lace from Pascuali. The yarn combination is different from the knitting kit, but simply beautiful!

I was able to see Jules' knitting progress for myself at the trade fair weekend in Cologne. I can tell you: the model is too cute!

I am knitting the Holger sweater from PetiteKnit for my godchild. I still had one or two single balls in my stash, so it will be a wonderfully colorful sweater. The Double Sunday from Sandnes simply offers the perfect color palette!

Louisa had already suspected it and finally gave in to the pressure: The maschenfein Frieda series needs to be completed!

No Paul Scarf is not a solution either! And that's why I'm knitting one for myself now. It's made from the wonderful Cashmere 6/28 BIO from Pascuali, which I already have here in the color graphite and had actually planned for something else. But it just had to be: a little neck flatterer for spring with our beautiful Frieda pattern - hachz!

Sandra worked out the scarf a few months ago. Of course, she has long since moved on and is already knitting the next piece. She was seduced by the boss herself.

After my seemingly endless project came off the needles last month, I cast on the Montrose Cardigan by Cheryl Mokhtari. For the yarn, I chose Como Grande from Lamana in navy blue. Even though the rows are really long now that the back and front pieces have been joined, the design is a lot of fun. After I was able to admire Marisa's finished cardigan at our trade fair weekend, my motivation to finish it quickly is very high. But there are also some new yarns on the swatch list that I want to knit up soon to get a feel for our upcoming new additions. So let's see how quickly the cardi will progress ...

This article is being published on Holy Saturday - so Easter is tomorrow. It's shocking that it has come so suddenly this year!

Eieiei, all of a sudden it's already Easter! I've been working hard on my two little sheep as Easter presents for the children ... The photo is now a few days old and I'm still confident. Crocheting with the organic cotton from Krea Deluxe is now going well for me, but the curls are taking a while. So keep your fingers crossed that I can still finish both sheep!

Judith can look back on a finished piece of knitting. The lucky one! Because we all know that - now at the latest - the way is clear for a new project!

I have finished something - yay! It's the Weekend Headband from Petite Knit. It has that sturdiness you can see in the pictures and is cozy and looks really pretty at the same time. So it certainly won't be the last headband I knit. It's such a lovely project for in-between times that just slips over the needles! I'm even thinking about doing a swatch with the Alpakka Ull from Sandnes next time, maybe it will fit me then too 😉.

Before I send you off into the rest of the Easter weekend, I have to talk about our Mother's Day shawl Lotti! Which of you are knitting along?

We published the pattern update on Maundy Thursday. Unfortunately with a small technical hurdle, but now everyone should be supplied - either via their customer account or by e-mail with a download link. Latecomers are of course very welcome! Here you can find the single pattern, in the matching kit is Pinta from Pascuali - the missing colors will come back in April.

I'm also starting a few days later - the project for the children has simply taken up too much of my time. But I'll definitely be there. You too? And what color did you choose?
