A wonderful good morning to the Saturday coffee with a little this and that from the knitting world and around Maschenfein.

In the Instagram feed of Julie Hoover I read a few days ago that she often still pre-washes strands before wrapping. In a comment a little further below the picture she explains this in a little more detail, very exciting to read. By the way, I love her pictures and designs and she has pretty much the most beautiful home office you can imagine. Go have a browse!

When I could not sleep the other night once again because of loud kicks from inside and outside, I browsed through my Ravelry friend updates and came across so many beautiful tutorials... For example, Larch, an oversized cozy sweater by Pam Allen. Could be knitted great from Merino 70, or Børstet Alpakka, or Tweed.

I thought this version of the Featherweight Cardigan from a tutorial by Hannah Fettig was wonderfully fresh and cheerful. Yellow and light gray just look great together. Two-threaded with Shio and Urugami would be perfect on the gauge, and there are such wonderful colors there too. A little foretaste of spring.

I knitted Shio and Urugami last spring/summer for the VNeck Boxy, of which I also discovered a more wintry version the other night, namely this one from Claire Dupont in a merino/alpaca blend. Also with the combination of Milano and Piura one comes great on the needed gauge. Otherwise, Bayak would also fit quite wonderfully, hach! Or Road to China Light! Uaaahhh!

The Childhood Sweater after a tutorial from ANKESTRiCK in this beautiful version knitted from Como Tweed has then met me on Instagram and no longer gone out of my head. How beautiful is that please? We pack you the days also the matching wool package to right, because we have already for many pattern of Anke matching packages here in the offer. But you can also easily buy the yarn individually.

As always, if you have any questions about quantities, feel free to contact us via email.

I had yesterday once again an inspiring coffee chat with Siv from Sandnes here in Berlin and could not help but order two more qualities... really.... I just had to... There will also be again a wonderful new kit from it. Fortunately, it still takes a little while until it all arrives at our warehouse, but I tell you: It never gets boring here at Maschenfein!

Have a great weekend!
