Description
Lamana - Piura
Piura by LAMANA is a fine lace yarn made of 100% alpaca. With a yardage of 400 m per 50 g it can be knitted both single thread and double or together with other yarns great. The very wide color palette lets us play wonderfully with different colors. Piura is also ideal as a supplementary yarn to replace a mohair silk yarn, for example.
Responsibility
The alpaca wool for Piura comes entirely from Peru, where the animals are kept in their natural environment in the highlands of the Andes. The yarn is also manufactured in Peru in owner-operated traditional businesses that are continuously audited for working conditions and fair, resource-conserving production.
Piura also has the OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

Piura is my Lamana yarn and I have been knitting it for at least 5 years. It can be knitted with Perla, with Como and also with Shio super. For example, I have several sleeves from Piura + Shio, they are warm and very finely knitted, so you still have slender arms and yet it does not scratch a bit (I am very sensitive). Multi-threaded I have already made beautiful color gradients. It can be knitted loosely and also tightly well, depending on what you want to do. Great price-performance ratio.
