Do you already have plans for mid-September? I'm going to Yarncamp for the first time this year, a BarCamp that's all about wool, yarns and DIY. It's taking place in Frankfurt on September 12/13 and there are still a few tickets left. I'm looking forward to it and even going in double role as Maschenfein and as Woolspire, because Woolspire is one of the sponsors of the Yarncamp this time.

Yarncamp 2015

Around 100 knitting and crochet enthusiasts will meet on these two days for the themed BarCamp, a so-called re-conference. There will be many exciting sessions and discussions about knitting, yarns, crochet and DIY. The session plan will be determined at the beginning of each day, each participant can then spontaneously propose his session. Afterwards, each session idea will be briefly presented and the audience will vote on it by show of hands. Every participant is a co-organizer at the same time. I am so excited!

You can find a report about last year's Yarncamp at Daniela from gemachtmitliebe, who also did an interview with the organizing team in the run-up to the first BarCamp two years ago. By the way, this year's Yarncamp will again be organized by Rebekka, Lutz and Romy.

There are still a few tickets left. Maybe you still have time?

About Marisa

I am Marisa, the founder behind Maschenfein. I made the first stitches with my grandma Lotti when I was about five years old. In 2014 I founded "Maschenfein". What started as a blog has now become exactly the online store for wool & knitting accessories that I always wanted. Together with my team I want to enrich the knitting world with inspiration, pattern, beautiful yarns and the best accessories.
