A wonderful good morning to Saturday coffee with a little this and that from the knitting world and around Maschenfein. I don't know about you, but I feel like I'm entering a new phase of Corona time and slowly grasping the new reality as the new normal. One is settling in, gaining a little courage and has created new routines. Doesn't quite work out perfectly yet, but getting better. Either way, I don't believe in a school as we know it until fall, and I can hardly imagine returning to old structures afterwards.

The only thing that always remains the same is the desire to knit. Don't you think? I've reached the second part of my Amelia shawl (I'm knitting kit no. 6 from Suave) and am happily knitting my way through the brioche pattern. I still have a bunch of finished shawls from Martina, Lina, Silvi, Sibel, Louisa and Sandra lying here.

They are eeeeendlich finished photographed and soon go home. I was interrupted by the darn Corona and some intensive weeks of work on the store... it will not be boring here! You can already admire the finished cloth on the beaming Sandra:

She has thought about the design shortly after Christmas in evening-long tinkering, in which she sent drawings and stitch samples via WhatsApp, until finally the pattern were ready, not without her "chickens" as she calls her small group of model knitters also still at least once so properly ribbeln. Hihi. Anyway, it was very worth it! She gave me the original shawl on the photo, I'm happy about it every day! And am excited to see my second version from Suave. Amelia's can definitely have more than one, with all the lovely alternatives we've come up with.

By the way, the kits are of course still available in the store and if you only need the pattern because there is enough yarn in the stash, you can find them here.

Far from Amelia but of course it is never boring for me to rummage a little on the net for you for the most beautiful beauties. But first, the biggest news in the store, now officially. Drum roll.... tadaaaa!!!

Our first Shibui yarns have entered the store and supplies are on the way. I'm afraid I have to buy the matching Shibui mohair yarn: "Silk Cloud". So you will find it soon in the store. If you want to afford it and like it a bit fluffy, you can knit the Kolding by Chris Berlin with two strands of Shibui Lunar and Shibui Silk Cloud (coming soon), it will be a blast!!! For the Kolding you need five skeins of Shibui Lunar in the single color version. We haven't packed a wool package yet, because Chris doesn't have his own pictures and the copyright of the pictures is somewhere else, but that doesn't matter, it's not difficult to order here (edit: Chris just sent great pictures via WhatsApp, then nothing stands in the way of your wool package, we'll take care of it :)). You can find Chris' pattern here. With Silk Cloud it gets a touch of fluff to it... hach! A bit tricky is the fact that five skeins of mohair will probably be too short and with six skeins you'll have a good portion of mohair left over for which you still need Plan B.... By the way, ITO Rakuda is also perfect for the Kolding, if you've always wanted to knit it.

How does she do it? I don't know. Mette's aka Petite Knits latest prank is the delicate April Cardigan, knitted from Sunday and Tynn Silk Mohair. Of course, we have packed the matching wool package directly for you, because the pattern are already available in German.

While we're on the subject of Sandnes... some have already asked about the Sunday Magazine from Sandnes, i.e. the magazine full of designs for the yarn Sandnes Sunday. We have created all the knitting kits for the magazine for you, because they all turned out great! You can find them clearly arranged on this page, have a look. Also included are these two men's designs above in the pictures and one more. And all three great! Since the gentlemen can finally be happy.

Cléonis is the name of the designer of this sweater called Mirmesnil. You can find the pattern on her site. You knit top down and you can use Sandnes Mini Alpakka together with Sandnes Tynn Silk Mohair.

I love the Paloma Sweater from Espace Tricot and imagine knitting it with ITO Rakuda and ITO Sensai... You can find the pattern for free on Ravelry.

Is not this detail just wonderfully pretty? A while ago I had you here in Samstagskaffee already linked the cardigan to it. Now there is the sweater for all sweater fans among you. I like it very much. You can find the pattern on Ravelry in English, you can knit it from Pascuali Balayage!

And finally for today, here's a great summery piece from SANDNES Line. The Twist Shirt from Nina Ruth is knit from the top down, with a twist/knot at the end. A super nice detail! The pattern are also available in German here on Ravelry.

Maschenfein Knitting round on Instagram

Instagram is teeming with beautiful projects in the Maschenfein knitting round. A few I have picked out again for you:

Grudrun has knitted a brioche scarf from Rowan Sultano Fine. In her feed her first picture! There you can also see it in full glory. Dagmar knitted the Lucine Top by Pam Allen in no time, faster than the knitting police allows. You can find the wool package here. It is knitted with the great Willet yarn from Quince & Co. Since all colors are on the way to us again, should your favorite color be out of stock.

Lisa knitted the No Frills Cardigan by Petite Knit, from our wool package of ITO Rakuda and ITO Sensai. Claudia knitted the Petria Sweater by Sari from Sandnes Alpakka Ull. You can find the pattern in the older Laine Magazine 06, we still have it in stock! We also have alternatively a nice wool package to this sweater from LAMANA Como in the store.

Have a great weekend and stay at home, even if the world around us is getting all jittery right now.
