A wonderful, totally huffy good morning to the Saturday coffee with quite a lot of this and that from the knitwear world and a few, very few whining thoughts. We have still or already again or however viruses to visit. Streptococci had also joined in. We Maschenfeins are simply extremely hospitable, with us one feels well. Unfortunately, we do not feel well at all and are waiting for things to get better. At least child 1 is probably over the hill and can go back to school on Monday. In the meantime I could knit something neatly. And make many beautiful plans for the spring wardrobe.

A little tip, because you always like to ask on Instagram (and attention, unpaid and unsolicited advertising, bought myself!): I wear under sweaters and over leggings best this sleeveless tunic, which I have just reordered again in black and white, because it is such an "every-day-under-part".

My ideas for spring tops and sweaters are coming here, I would like to strike them all immediately and restrain myself, because the September jacket is still on the needles!

At the top of my spring top knitting list is the Basic Top by Paula_m, which I would have loved to knit last summer from Willet by Quince & Co. By the way, Willet is a certified, ecologically sustainable cotton, whose production process Quince explains in detail and transparently in a very readable blog post.

I think the Basic Top from Willet we would have to include as a wool package necessarily. Until then, it is quite simple: You need for the sizes S (M) L (XL) XXL simply 5 (5) 6 (6) 7 skeins Willet and you can go. But remember the stitch test!

At least as high on the spring knitting list is the light sweater "Alisea" from the first Pascuali magazine, which is of course also available for purchase from us. Velvet wool. Knitted in Saffira, a fine blend of merino and mulberry silk, Alisea is probably the exact color combination I would choose from the original. I like it very much!

In this top-in-progress of Mauricette.c I fell in love yesterday at first sight. Is still no tutorial but among all the tops / cardigans with this sleeve detail, this part is simply mine. The tutorial is certainly in the works and will delight us just in time for the warmer temperatures. We'll be watching it and then, of course, shouting it out loud here at Saturday Coffee. I can well imagine that Rowan Summerlite 4ply could be a perfect fit. In the dark grey color for me, hah. Two other tops with this detail on the sleeves we have already shown in the penultimate Samstagskaffee, that was once the cardigan Kakuetta (unfortunately so far only in French, you really have to want) and the Nerea sweater from Laine magazine.

My "Gathering Stripes" sweater for the smallest Fräulein has jumped off the needles and is already eagerly worn. I knitted it from Lang Merino 120, which I can recommend especially for children's clothing and this sweater great. The quantities on Ravelry concern running meters, I needed a little less and knitted in one color. I unfortunately have no photo of the finished sweater for you, but you could catch a mini glimpse of a wearing picture last week in my Instastories. Just believe me, it's great and I'll show it in the stories a little more in detail when the viruses have said goodbye.

There are some new Sandnes magazines! They come out so crazy fast that we hardly get behind to tell you about them when we have the designs diligently built into our system. But we already have many of them online for you. The new children's magazine 2003 contains these beautiful designs here at a glance. I especially fell in love with the dress "Augsutkjole" above in the picture, knitted from Babyull Lanett (100% merino wool). Click here for the finished knitting kit. I think it's totally cute. The pattern in the magazine cover sizes up to 8 years. There is a matching sweater called "Augustgenser".

For us "grown-ups" there are the two new booklets 2002 and 2004 and I must unfortunately say that the photos for these two booklets (in contrast to the above-mentioned children's booklet) do not knock me off my chair this time. I think you can't see the knits that well, unfortunately. So I can't really say what my favorite would be and probably that's why we're a little slower here with posting the kits or just leaving some out. If you want to see them all, you can find all designs from 2002 here and all designs from 2004 here. Of course we are happy to help you with quantities if there is the perfect model for you!

Oh, I still have this for you! The new cloth "Dots or Stripes" by ChrisBerlin, which I was allowed to admire at our Käffchen-meeting a few weeks ago already "in work". A really effective and very simple pattern, which plays with the background stitches in the half brioche. On the front they appear as dots and on the back as broken stripes. The scarf is therefore great to wear on both sides. The tutorial can be found here on Ravelry (also in German) and we have the matching wool package with COMO of Lamana (soooo many beautiful colors!) Already posted for you.

Maschenfein Knitting round on Instagram

Phew, now I'm about to fall into bed, but let's take a spin through the Maschenfein knitting round on Instagram:

Sibel diligently wears all the scarves and shows them to us in her feed. Her closet must be a space miracle. On the left the Winnie shawl from "Cowgirl Blues Merino Twist" and on the right the Water shawl from "Wool Addicts Water".

And as if she was not busy with our secret projects, on which she is also busy knitting, Sibel also knits another Water cloth (right in the picture), this time from Suave, that will also mega! The pattern are of course also available separately in the store and matching Suave from Pascuali, let's go. Striped love.

On the left in the picture Claudia is smiling at us, here wearing the Winterly sweater and the Elfriede scarf from the 6th Laine magazine.

Also with Silvie I can "for reasons" :)) not even believe where she takes the time from, she knits just besides "psssttt" still the Aria scarf, which I wear here day in and day out grad (wonderfully warm with chills).

And on the right in the picture a beautiful "Margaretas Mama" from Mareike! Looks like you're almost done!

Have a great weekend and stay healthy!
