Sandnes - Mini Alpakka

Mini Alpakka is a 3-ply, pure alpaca yarn with a meterage of 150 m per 50 g. Due to its very clear structure, it is ideal for Norwegian patterns, but also plain knits such as sweaters, scarves, cardigans or warm shawls can be made great from Mini Alpakka.

Since the Sandnes colors can be combined across the yarns, Mini Alpakka can also be knitted beautifully in two strands with Sandnes Silk Mohair.

Responsibility

The alpaca wool comes from Peru, where the animals can live freely and are sheared only once a year.
Sandnes is committed to making their sustainable and responsible contribution in the ecological cycle. They are in the process of establishing a fully traceable supply chain. The alpacas and Norwegian sheep are raised freely on uncultivated land, so no deforestation or anything like that is necessary. In addition, green electricity from hydropower is used for production and the water used is then purified again.
