A wonderful good morning to Saturday coffee with a little this and that from the knitting world and around Maschenfein. We finally got a decent load of Merino Twist from Cowgirl Blues. So really, really neat. So all those who have been waiting for their yarn for our Cowgirlblues Knit Along can finally get started and that means we're stepping on the gas now too. If you still want to join in, you can find all the great Merino Twist kits in the store here. I am very happy about the yarn, because it complements our assortment perfectly, try it out!

Also in the incoming goods is Extra from Blue Sky Fibers in shades of gray (brown and purple are also already included). This is just so schwups wandered into my shopping cart, because when I knit it the other day times test, it was done around me. Since we lacked in this area of the sample anyway a little more choice, I immediately struck. More colors will follow if you like the yarn as much as we do!

This cardigan we have discovered on Instagram and immediately knitted in mind from Organic Cotton from Blue Sky Fibers, a photo of Madame_Clara, who by the way totally beautiful things knits and sews. Unfortunately there are no pattern to link to, but sometimes it's just the color (or non-color) that triggers an inspiration explosion. Basically, this jacket is very simple, but who prefers to foinstructionsttern...

... might be interested in True by Joji Locatelli, a slightly older design, but simply timelessly beautiful. The tutorial is available on Ravelry and you could knit "True" from Blue Sky Organix Cotton or Blue Sky Extra.

If you like a bit more pattern, you might like the Pitch Cardigan by Emily Greene, which brings a lot of variety to your knitting (but also requires concentration). You could knit it out of Blue Sky Eco Cashmere, which we like to reorder again and again, should the quantity in stock not be sufficient. Just write us! Currently we have a sweater quantity for a customer who needed much more than we had in stock. The tutorial for the Pitch Cardigan can be found on Ravelry.

Another design by Emily Greene is GRAN (the tutorial is here on Ravelry). Much more simple and with a touch of fleece. You could knit this one a bit more rugged/derby in Rowan Felted Tweed Aran or Cocoon, or knit the finer version two-thread in Alpakka Silke and Silk Mohair.

Do you know Julie Hoover? I've mentioned her here before, she is very well known for beautiful sweater and cardigan designs. One of them is Colvin, the pattern are here on Ravelry. You could also knit it from Blue Sky Extra.

Cap weather comes ...

Very, very slowly it's going off here with the cap weather. At least you could already ring in knitting-technically the cap weather.

If you like patterned hats, you might like Lord's Seat by Inese Sang. It's knitted from Fibre Co Cumbria, the pattern are here on Ravelry.

Very beautiful, super fast and easy is the hat "Clo" from the Rowan magazine "Big Wool 4 Projects". We have the matching knitting kit and of course the matching animal hair free pom poms in the store.

And then there's a new design from DUCATHI, the sweetheart beanie, which is booming on Instagram right now. You can find the tutorial here on Ravelry and we have the matching wool package in the store .

Silvie did a terrific job knitting two designs for the new edition of my very first shawl book. It is an expanded new edition, which contains five more pattern (compared to the old edition). But you can also find these five patterns separately in the store, if you have the first edition!
On the left you can see the "Easy Triangle Shawl" made of Rowan Brushed Fleece. Did you recognize it? This shawl is just beautiful over and over again and you can knit it with any yarn you like. Brushed fleece makes it really heavy and cozy.
On the right in the picture the good old chipmunk shawl, knitted from the original yarn Lamana Milano

Otherwise on Instagram discovered left the Sunday Sweater on Sabine's needles. She knits it from SANDNES Duo and Rowan Kidsilk Haze, the latter is available in beautiful new colors, hop on over. As are some of the Rowan yarns, by the way. We have all the colors updated and in stock.

And finally, there is a real flood of OSAKA. Sibel and Ursula have finished knitting theirs in various color combinations. You can find the knitting kit here at Maschenfein, knitted from ITO Sensai (there you can find all available colors, if you want to put them together individually). We also have OSAKA on the needles right now and every now and then I show you my progress in the Stories on Instagram.

Mima and Caudia knit maschenfein hats from last year's hat campaign, winter stillness on the left and winter air on the right.

We wish you a nice rest of the weekend!
