A wonderful good morning to the Saturday coffee with a little this and that from the knitting world and around Maschenfein. We have also in the last week again very diligently worked in the background and discovered a few nice things on the net.

Beautiful designs from the world of knitting

If you like braids, for example, the cardigan Skimback by Hanna Maciejewska is quite good. It would go well with Lamana Bergamo. It's knit seamlessly top down, so almost no finishing work is needed, with a modified raglan construction. You can find the pattern on Ravelry.

Without a lot of frills is the cardigan Allison by Hannah Fettig, which you could knit in Sandness Alpakka Ull (go here for the tutorial on Ravelry).

Do you actually know Hannah Fettig? She's not only a knitwear designer, but also the inventor of Stashbot, an app that makes it easy to figure out for any yarn how much is needed for a sweater, cardigan, scarf, or, or, or. The idea is this: You fall in love with a yarn, you want it uuuuu badly, but you don't know how much you need for a long cardigan with gauge xy and size xy. So check out Stashbot, enter the data and know how much you should buy. Practical or?

Hannah Fettig was also behind the podcast Knit.fm, which has long since been discontinued, but the old episodes are always worth listening to.

Then have found Lina Sweater by Hobbii Design, a super easy design with free tutorial, pretty for spring and matching Sandnes Tynn Silk Mohair. You can download the tutorial for free at Ravelry.

Matching Sandnes Duo, which we now also have new in the store, we found the Rhilea Sweater by Suvi Simola. You can find the pattern here on Ravelry. Again knitted top down, seamless, with a lace pattern on the back, but otherwise very plain.

Mega pretty with beautiful hole pattern on the raglan seam and the sides is Scarlet from Sanne Bjerregaard. The pattern are only available in Danish, but that shouldn't stop professional knitters among you. Our yarn recommendation is Wool Addicts Water and here you can find the

A great new design by Regina Moessmer has gone online! KARU. A top down construction. The shoulders are shaped with short rows. I think this one is mega again. Exactly my thing. Who's going to knit it for me? Haha! Matching does Lamana Bergamo and the tutorial is available on Ravelry. If we made it, there is also soon the wool package for easy handling in the size selection in the store.

New Sandnes Yarns

We have really stocked up our Sandnes assortment. You will find all Sandnes yarns at a glance and many new knitting kits in the store. The latest magazines will soon be completely updated, so that you can easily find all matching kits in our shop. That's a lot of work. If you are missing something, please contact us by mail!

We are also in the process of knitting many, many swatches. So Sandra. Around the clock, it seems to me! At the hairdresser, probably also sleeping, it can not be otherwise. On the left Sandnes - Peer Gynt and on the right Sandnes - Duo. And we also try out different combinations, because you ask for it almost every day and soon we are completely prepared.

One of the newer magazines is for example 1901. Here is the overview of all the kits. Left in the picture the cat sweater for boys and girls Kattegenser 1901-06 and right the Bestefartrøye 1901-09.

For ladies there is the new issue 1902, to which you can find all kits here. For today we have selected the Stripegenser 1902-05 on the left and Kløvergenser 1902-2 on the right. However, I also like this jacket very much, it fits perfectly in my closet. Namely, I would now slowly switch to a color other than blue or pink and knit Oransje. Do I imagine mega to dark blue leggings.

Maschenfein knitting round on Instagram

And again this week we have selected some of your projects for our Maschenfeine knitting round here. The Water shawl, the current perennial favorite. Here from Sarah and Sigrid.

You can find the Water Shawl PDF as a single pattern in the store. And you can knit it from any yarn, we get many requests for a summer version. Mine is knitted in the original Water yarn(you can find the original knitting kit here). A real winter shawl.

Mega I also find the variant of Sandnes Alpakka Silke and Sandnes Silk Mohair. Also in these colors dreamlike!

... and here from Marion and Anke ( Cashmere Tweed on the left and Lamana Milano on the right paired with Madeira's favorite stork design embroidery scissors).

Well, I can not yet tell soooo much more. But won't be long, I promise!
