A wonderful good morning to the Saturday coffee with a little this and that from the knitting world and lots of new things from the Maschenfein store. We have so incredibly stocked up in the last few weeks and since my work-mom balance was a bit out of control, I have not really gotten to celebrate this properly with you on Instagram. Real life just got in the way. I realize you know this damn well!

But at least there is a really hot, cozy Saturday coffee again today. How proud I am to be on time again!

Sandnes new in store

We have many new yarns in the store. Among other things, there is also a large pile of Sandnes yarn from Norway. How it started with the Sandnes yarns here at Maschenfein, you can read here. I have a wanderlust when I see the pictures and I think that we will travel north again next year at the latest.

With the many new Sandnes qualities, numerous new Sandnes magazines have already migrated into the store and we are constantly catching up and putting the last, still missing kits online. I myself find it so important to have a really large selection and, above all, all colors available. Because only then you can really knit so right for your own closet. Do not you think? Click through the designs and see which parts really suit you and which colors can be integrated really well into your everyday life. I've knitted so many things myself in my knitting life that I found beautiful elsewhere, without thinking beforehand whether I would really wear the parts.

The magazine Tema 58 contains beautiful pattern in Peer Gynt, a yarn made of 100% Norwegian new wool. On the left the Elgseterkofte 06 and on the right the Elgseterkofte 04. All knitting kits for this issue can be found here directly filtered.

To the new yarn Sisu (so new with us) there is the booklet 1901(here are all kits filtered). Sisu is superwash treated and very popular for children's clothing. Left the Bestefartroye and right the Raglangenser.

Sisu can also be combined with Tynn Silk Mohair, and in the 1811 issue you will find the Raglangenser (left) and the Hippiegenser (right) in exactly this combination. In the booklet there are some more designs, for which we now have the yarns here. You can find all 1811 kits filtered here.

We now also finally have Smart in the store, which is also so great for children's clothing. For example, the sweater Marius (left) and the sweater Trollstigegenser (right). Both from the 1810 issue, for which you can now find all the new knitting kits here.

New from Katrin Schneider

She has something new for us again! Katrin Schneider has designed a super fine patterned cardigan, the Myrtha Cardigan.

You can find the tutorial on Ravelry and we made a fine wool package. Namely with our FibreCo Cumbria Fingering. I'd be partial to the Buttermere color. Oh yes!

Left and right on the net

There's more happening in the knitwear web this past week. For example, we really like the Incline Decline Cardigan from Purl Soho.

The tutorial is on Ravelry and if you are looking for a yarn on us, you could use Cashmere Tweed from Rowan. That would be a great fit.

The Neap Tide Cowl by Jennifer Brou looks exciting! Here is the tutorial on Ravelry and our maschenfein yarn recommendation is Lamana Milano

If you're still looking for a nice hat tutorial, this is Hadō by Maiko Hikosaka (go here for the tutorial on Ravelry), which is great to make from Cashmere Tweed by Rowan.

On the ears

I finally got around to listening to podcasts again last week and heard this podcast with Verena Pausder. Among other things, she is behind the Schlaf-gut app, which we also really liked here for a while, and she created the digital workshops. What stuck with me was the sentence that also made it into the intro:

"In Germany, we tend to be good at strengthening weaknesses rather than strengths. Because we think strengths are so elite."

How true! This sentence hit me so hard, especially now, because this phenomenon has hit me with full force in the past week. A child reveals an incredible strength that no one has noticed before, and a teacher pushes it aside in order to insist on a weakness from which he could possibly gain an advantage for the school.

I'm writing a little bit in riddles and maybe at some point a text or a story about all the things that have kept me busy in the last weeks is due, which is bubbling inside me. But no matter where I pick you up, listen to the podcast, because Verena Pausder has a lot of power.

Instagram - the maschenfein knitting round

Every week we show you some beautiful projects from the Maschenfein community. There are so many beautiful pictures, we always like to pick out a few for you. Show them to us with the hashtag #maschenfein or #maschenfeinstrickrunde so we can find you too!

For example, there are these two so beautifully spring-like Water Shawls (go here for the Water Shawl knitting kit). Aren't they beautifully delicate? I would love to send my Petra, who knits something for me from time to time when I don't have the time, a bunch of Water yarn in pink-yellow and white!

Anita is already finished and Anja is still knitting: The Sunday Sweater from a tutorial by Petite Knit, knitted from Sandnes Kos (at Anita) and Schachenmayr Premium Silk and 2 threads of Sandnes Tynn Silk Mohair (at Anja). Simply great!

Photos: left @karos.knits - help, to whom belonged the right photo??? Please report! EDIT: the right picture belongs to @ankiknarf

The #geheiminis are soooo beautiful that we can hardly wait to zeiten them to you in full glory. Left and right two small project knitted from cashmere tweed from Rowan. And right sim picture the MINUK Project Bag, in combination with the embroidery scissors in stork design from Madeira and the wool sewing needle set Tulip.

Maren aka klampfenbraut knits for the baby. Once the baby blanket Karli (left in the picture) from Lamana Cosma and then a Mini Whippet. We have the wool package for the Whippet Cardigan (for adults) in the store. And you can find the pattern for fitting at Ravelry.

Have a great weekend!
