A wonderful good morning to the Saturday coffee with a lot of this and that around Maschenfein and a little knitting net whisper. Last weekend we finally had a really nice and extensive photo shoot at one of my favorite locations in our neighborhood. With many, many knits. Including many beautiful pieces from ITO, Sandnes and the new LAMANA magazine and of course our brand new Maschenfein design from the pen of Sandra.

This secret I want to reveal right here as the first, because it burns me on the needles, because I find it just really so incredibly beautiful. So beautiful that, although I already own a great, two-color version (in pink-red), I will knit myself a second cloth (and this I have to needle myself). In the original colors. The yarn is already ready and early this week I will knit it (maybe quite solemnly on Instagram, we'll see). Yes, as soon as the last stitches of my Sultano Fine shawl are cast off and I have finished the cuff on my Lavia sweater, yay.

The new design is called "Pico Fino". It is knitted with one of our all-time favorites Alpaca Fino from Pascuali. Ha, you are already there? You can find the knitting kit here. When we sat down together at the beginning of the year and roughly planned the Maschenfeine year, it was clear that now in autumn a beautiful shawl design would hop from Sandra's needles, but which yarn or even which colors she would use for it, of course, remained open. Because even if it sounds a bit kitschy: A design can't be planned, it suddenly jumps out at you. Nevertheless, we always try to keep our manufacturers in mind as much as possible in our planning and promotions, so that a nice variety emerges. Pascuali has wonderful yarns in its program and we love Alpaca Fino very much for shawls. In this respect, this choice is probably also responsible for the fact that I am now so excited myself. The great knack for color does its part. When I wrapped the original scarf around my neck at our shoot, I didn't want to take it off.

You can tell, can't you? So may I introduce? This is "Pico Fino" and here you can find the whole knitting kit in the store. You can knit the shawl in three colors or in two colors. You can also find the two-color version in the product pictures, I love it too! If it should not be so "colorful".
The shawl is crescent shaped and builds up from the center of the long side. The increases on the sides create a decorative perforated edge. Super mega oberwichtig is the correct tensioning at the end, after the Abketten and washing. Because only through the tensioning the cloth acquires the correct shape. You have to force it a little bit. But in the pattern you will also find the exact drawing, according to which you can then stretch the shape, so that works easily, I promise!
Alternately, when knitting from both sides push colored tips into the cloth, which are worked with the help of short rows. The color weight within the cloth changes gradually through these tips. The basic color thus recedes somewhat into the background, before it ends the cloth with a lace pattern edge.

I find the shawl incredibly beautiful, wonderfully soft and I predict: it will be one of your favorite winter pieces if you knit it with me, I swear! On top of that, Alpaca Fino knits up like butter, and it has to, because the second piece I fell madly in love with at the shoot is the Lamana sweater #26/09:

This is it, knitted from Bergamo by LAMANA, the knitting kit is available here with free pattern booklet. The photos from the new LAMANA magazine I find all really, really great and they also make you want to knit the parts, but to wear such a model itself was then too much for my knitting heart. This sweater must move into my closet (just wondering when, cough). Since my Bergamo Diary Cardigan unfortunately fell irretrievably victim to a moth infestation last winter, I need a new Bergamo piece anyway. And this time I will protect myself sufficiently from moths, as we have learned here.

I have some more beautiful parts from the magazine for you test worn and photographed, I show them to you little by little on Instagram and certainly here, as soon as I get to it. All knitting kits for the new magazine can be found here at a glance.

From our rummage round here a part, which I (strike!!) do not have to knit, because I already own it in my favorite colors: the Long Shadows of Ankestrick, to which you can find our wool package here. But I had to show it to you again, because I think this right-hand version by Anke is so great. Pink and yellow. Hammer, right?

And when I was browsing Anke's Instagram profile, her True by Joji Locatelli caught my eye (Anke's version on the left and Joji's original on the right). You can find the tutorial here on Ravelry and maybe you've been looking for a matching tutorial for Organic Cotton by Blue Sky Fibre for a while. You can use it for this beautiful cardigan. If we don't have enough of your desired color in stock, feel free to email us!

In addition, we have discovered a great part from the new amirisu on Ravelry, which we had already linked to you last week, here you can find all designs on Ravelry. For this week we found the Winter's Spell by Trin-Annelie absolutely worth showing. Details on the pattern can be found here at Raverly and you could knit this loop super well from LAMANA Modena.

The signature of this designer is, I think, unmistakable. We already have three great yarn packages from her in the store: On the left the Midwinter, you can find the wool package for it here. On the right the Gentle-Moring, you can find the wool package here. And then you can also find the wool package for the sweater Ragna .

For our Rowan fans, we've spotted the City Limits sweater from Samantha Guerin. An oversized look sweater with a beautiful pattern at the bottom waistband. Knit in rounds from the bottom up, then separate the work into front and back at the top for the sleeves. The pattern can be found here Ravelry and you could knit him excellent from Rowan Cashmere Tweed.

Last but not least, striped love in the form of the Coffee Bean Cardigan by Elizabeth Smith. The pattern are available here Ravelry and depending on your fiber preference you can knit it from LAMANA Bergamo or Blue Sky Extra, both fit great!

On the needles at Manuela... well what could that be. A pile - uh touch of Osaka in the basket, that will be an Osaka scarf!
Simone is knitting a Hinata shawl from Lamana Piura and Premia, you can find the matching knitting kit here. I would love to know how many thousands of Hinatas are walking through Germany by now. Through the world! You can find the pattern in the book Knitting Shawls
