A wonderful good morning to Saturday coffee on a rainy Sunday! In almost old freshness after an exhausting enrollment period. I tell you. After such a long vacation and back-to-school time, one longs for a little everyday structure back. Even though I'm surely already looking forward to the next vacation next week. Who knows this too?

We have an inspiration explosion for you this week. Really! Wonderful parts, slowly it's getting cooler outside and it itches in the fingers, do you feel the same? Even if the really hard-boiled knitters knit even at 40 degrees in the shade, it slips better in the cooler temperatures but.

An absolute dream project for the coming season would be, for example, the Arrowhead Cardigan by Anna Cohen. The pattern are available here on Ravelry. This two-color cardigan is knitted in rounds with "steeks" for the opening in the front as well as for the two armholes. What are steeks? I wrote something about that here four (!) years ago. You will also find the topic of Faire Isle and Steeks in my basic book. The book will be published soon in a revised and extended new edition, you can register on the product page and be informed when we have it in stock.

Back to the Arrowhead Cardigan. If you dare, you could knit it in Lamana - Bergamo (favorite color alert).

You can find the next 3 designs all in the e-book knit.wear Wool Studio Vol. VI (e-book May 2019) on interweave.com.

This edition contains really nice parts, it's worth it, we think.

For example, the "Varignon Scarf" by Amy Gunderson, for which we have suitable FibreCo Cumbria in the store. The pattern are available in the above mentioned e-boo, the details about the gauge and co. can be found on Ravelry. The scarf is knitted in intarsia technique, you can also find information about this in the basics book, if you have not heard of it yet.

One of my favorites (after the Arrowhead Cardigan) among the Anleitunge today is Augusta by Kephren Pritchett, would fit perfectly in my closet, besides I would get our matching yarn (one among the new acquisitions of the last few months) BC yarn Semilla cablé eco wool sososo gladly on the needles. If you have any free needles: you can find the pattern here on Ravelry. I would choose the color Nebel, hach....

Rather something small braids? The Diamond Lattice Sweater by Kephren Pritchett is wonderfully pretty and there you can really let off steam color-wise, because Sandnes - Alpakka Ull in the usual beautiful Sandnes color palette goes with it. The tutorial is available here on Ravelry.

Maschenfein Knitting round on Instagram

The past few weeks were on Instagram of course also still marked by beautiful summer projects. First and foremost, the many Emma Tops to the Emma Top Knit Along, which has simply taken on a life of its own. All over Germany, women are now wearing Emma Tops. Knitted from Lamana Cosma and we have the matching yarn package at Maschenfein with link to pattern for easy selection in the store. The beautiful LAMANA colors leave you spoiled for choice. There are women who have knitted five such tops.

Uta knitted the Blue Sand Cardigan in SANDNES Duo, which we suggested here at Saturday Coffee a few weeks ago. Duo is a really, really great yarn on the needles, it knits like butter and is insanely comfortable on the skin. Click here for pattern and wool package.
