A wonderful good morning to the Saturday coffee with a little net whisper from the knitting world and around Maschenfein. After a few, cozy rainy days, it is here in Berlin all of a sudden summer warm again. Therefore, I dedicate this Saturday coffee times completely to the beautiful summer yarns in the store, with many summer knitting ideas. Also there are yes some really nice summer variations.

One of the newest additions to the Maschenfeinshop is the new yarn from Shibui Knits called "Koan". A blend of 70% linen and 30% silk and a stated gauge of 26M to 10cm.

If you knit Shibui Koan two-thread, you could knit this short-sleeved sweater: the Sideways Tee, you can find the pattern here on Ravelry. Knit from the center out from each side. To get the color in the picture, you would have to combine the colors "Bone" and "Ash". You will need about 5 skeins depending on the size, we reorder all colors directly again!

You can also knit the top Else by ChrisBerlin in Koan (but then single yarn), you can find the pattern in German here on Ravelry. Chris and I also talk about Else in our latest podcast, which will be online soon on our podcast channel.

You could also use double thread koan for the Diving Tee by Verena Cohrs. You can find the pattern here on Ravelry.

From Quince & Co we have the beautiful pure linen yarn Sparrow in our assortment and just now a load of supplies arrived in all beautiful colors.

There is already a nice set of tutorials for this yarn on Ravelry and also kits in our store.

The sweater "Zara" with three-quarter velvet is knitted for example from Sparrow. You can find the pattern here on Ravelry. The vertical lines are crocheted at the end in the contrasting color.

We already have the matching Sparrow wool packs in the store for these two shirts. That is once on the left the Cullum Tee Shirt and then on the right the Azalea Shirt.

In the beautiful Purple Coke Shirt by Katrin Schneider you combine two yarns from ITO: Urugami (wool and paper) and Tetsu (silk and stainless steel). You can also replace the latter with Sensai for a fluffy feel, if you like that.

And speaking of ITO: The current design-in-progress of ANKESTRiK is created from ITO Washi, a yarn made of paper and viscose. We are also looking forward to it!

Of course, we have many more beautiful summer yarns in the store, so it's best to just browse through them. In our filter functions on the knitting kit page you can filter great for individual yarns. This is a bit hidden and "collapsed", because we have sooooo many yarns in the store. For example, here are three beautiful ones from Nepal.

Next week there is again an Instgram round by the Maschenfein community. I now devote myself to our garden furniture, which I would like to gradually sand and re-oil all once and finally make a real free weekend. What you just do - spring cleaning!

Have a great weekend!
