A wonderful good morning to the Saturday coffee with a little this and that from the knitting world and around Maschenfein.

Right now, I'm reading and hearing about year-end exhaustion, blog fatigue and social media fatigue on many channels. I'm starting to feel the end of the year exhaustion as well. For me, it has to do with an accumulation of birthdays, many cookie bakes for Kitabasare and other events and numerous parallel projects that I would love to implement immediately. Once again, I have to learn to take one step at a time and I'm already looking forward to many wonderful things in 2017.

Now I'm concentrating on delivering all your urgent and beautiful Christmas orders as quickly as possible. For DHL and dpd, Christmas always comes as a surprise, there have been one or two breakdowns, but usually everything works out fine. When responding to your many dear emails I also try very hard, the one or the other slips through me sometimes, do not be angry, but just ask!

After Sandra had finished knitting her Loppa cardigan from Como yarns, a real Loppa hype has broken out in the Maschenfein round. I have to say and I repeat myself: a Como-Loppa appeals to me very much, because my own Loppa from a Shetland yarn is a little scratchy. But (see above) there is no needle free for that here at the moment. I remain steadfast..... However, such a mini version for Fräulein, who suddenly took a great liking to my loppa today, would be quick to knit, wouldn't it? Maybe something for "between the years", I love this expression, there always fits a lot!

The question of Icelandic sweaters came up, there are many beautiful pattern on the net. A very nice free tutorial (unfortunately in English) is available directly at istex. A slightly different style, but also beautiful is this one.

A totally pretty cap I have discovered yet. The pattern are unfortunately only in Norwegian, but the color scheme pink-yellow-white in the top picture I find absolutely worth remembering.

In case Farie Isle isn't your thing: I've also added the Blue Sand Cardigan from Bergamo to my to-knit list for next year. I'm sure it could be knit well from Como, but the gauge would match the gauge for my Diary and I love the knit so much. Maybe you'd like to set aside some knitting time for it and we'll make it a joint project again.

By the way, my pulse warmer large production from Milano must pause a few days, because I knitted myself with the sock wonder a blister on the index finger. Seriously! I just can't get this movement out with which I push the stitches on and with which the needle keeps poking me in the right index finger. However, I don't have that kind of problem with "normal" projects, so I just switch over to the scarf and cardigan, both of which I still have on the needles here.

Did I already mention here in the blog that the knitting pattern for the Bayak shawl with the short rows are now online? The matching knitting kit is of course also available in the store. By the way, the chili red cuddle shawl that I showed here is also finished and will soon be available in the storinstructionsttern and kit. I know one or the other is already waiting eagerly and my personal UFO policewoman has also already admonished me. Sometimes I'm just not organized enough and too many new ideas get in the way. I vow to do better. My first resolution for 2017!

Have a great weekend and a relaxing 2nd Advent!
