A wonderful, still round here, good morning to Saturday coffee with a little this and that from the knitting world and around Maschenfein.

The Making magazines have all arrived and expand the range of beautiful magazines and books here in the store. These magazines promise a cozy read with many beautiful knitting projects (which you can see in advance on the product page), but also other topics around creativity and DIY. The issues 1 to 4 are already in stock (by the way, as well as the Madder books from the same house), the very latest issue comes out these days and is also already on the way to Berlin.

Jana aka Janukke is just about to release one of her sophisticated, fine collections little by little. Until May 8, you'll find another tutorial from the collection every Wednesday at her site. She describes this new collection called "The Dots Collections" this way, "The five scarves in The Dots Collection play with the dots theme. Circles become visible simply because stockinette stitch and smooth left knits each refract light slightly differently. Dots made from short rows bend ruffles to create geometric patterns. Huge dots are worked with the technique of false intarsia. Concentric circles with round lace pattern motifs as well as the negative space between stitches vary on the dot motif." If you strike now this week until Wednesday, you will receive the entire collection for the introductory price of only 5.90 euros, which is terrific for five designs of this kind.

The first design "Dot Dot Dot" is knitted from the beautiful combination ITO Rakuda and Sensai and of course we have put together the matching wool package for you in the store. I worked Rakuda and Sensai together for one of my #hyggeheimgeheim projects and I think my test knitters are as excited about this combination as I was and am.

Chris Berlin has posted her new tutorial for Como and Como Tweed. "Cozy Lines" is a top to bottom sweater with clever details. The perfect project to try out the great new colors of Como Tweed or Como. Maybe we'll manage to put together the matching wool package for you in the days, I'm sure Christiane will agree.

I like to listen to audiobooks while knitting, but have trouble staying tuned for really long audiobooks. I'm still suffering (and very soon, I'm sure, will be suffering more) from mommy-little-kid syndrome, which has shrunk my ability to concentrate for the shortest of short stretches over the past couple of years. Will this ever get better? No idea. So audiobooks can't be too long, because after a few days I just can't get into them or get interested in new topics. Podcasts are the ideal alternative and two new projects will provide cozy entertainment while knitting in the next few weeks:

After listening to the entertaining and humorous teaser of Imke and Anna, I'm even more looking forward to their project "Kaffee Stulle Gin". Tomorrow the first episode will be released and even if I with baby, small children and U40 do not really correspond to the target group, I'm looking forward to beaming away a little from everyday life in their conversations.

Ricarda talks in her new podcast "strong and honest", whose pilot episode with Clara from Tastesheriff appeared yesterday, with women from the Internet about life. With the partie are in the next just above mentioned Anna, Bine and Caro, whose blog I have recently already put you to the heart, because she writes so wonderfully. I look forward to it!

What's new from the maschenfein front? The Stitch-Stoppers from Cocoknits are finally back in stock. The big coveted project bags from Twig&Horn are unfortunately even further away, so the manufacturer now promises new bags for next fall. What am I glad that I had not enabled any pre-orders there... the gut feeling advised me already in January against it. I'm very sorry... But we have enough great bags in all sizes in the store and who likes can simply sew themselves a project bag after our pattern. So no reason for sadness!

I have finally finished my #hyggeheimgeheim projects. Well, almost... a few threads still want to be sewn, but at least three projects have now already dipped into the test knitting phase and I'm relieved to have at least these three already wrapped up before decoupling. So now I can finally get my doubleface baby blanket out again, dust it off and continue knitting.

Have a great weekend!
