February is always a bit mean. Because suddenly it is already over and March begins. So it's time for a new issue of On the needles. Because knitting we do fortunately all year round.

Only so quite decide whether it should be now still wintery-cuddly or already spring-like-light, we can not. Even if the warm days are very tempting, it is still quite cold in the morning and evening. And the next few days should also be rather mixed. Therefore, you will find here today a colorful mix of knitting inspiration from the Maschenfein team! So that you get a suitable idea for every mood.

Fleece at Sandra, silk at Jule

For example, Sandra has longer thought about what it should be, the next project. The decision was then made about the yarn: On the desk was still a nice pile Sensai from ITO.

From then on it was clear: It will be fluffy again. The only condition: Puno Winikunka, the colorful extension of Pascuali's Puno yarn, which was previously only available in natural shades, should also be in it.

A sweater always fits

Sandra has finally decided for the Robin Sweater from Paula_m. In our knitting kit you'll find the Sunday from SANDNES, which is knitted here in double yarn. But as you can see: If it should be fleece, Sensai and Puno Winikunka are a great alternative.

Jule is currently organizing a little knitalong with her knitting group: the so-called TeeKAL. Everyone is invited, of course. What's it all about? Drinking tee and knitting t-shirts, of course! 😉 Jule has chosen the Cumulus Tee from PetiteKnit. She's knitting with Pascuali's Pinta, a beautiful four skein yarn made of merino, silk and ramie. The light sheen of the silk is perfect for a summer shirt, I think. You also want to join the Knitalong? No problem: Here you can find suitable knitting kits. And you surely have tee at home!

Cashmere and linen

There is also a certain contrast in the rest of the team. It's just not easy to decide on a project in this weather.

Marisa continues to knit her freestyle loop in cashmere 6/28 from Pascuali. It just always works and the next winter will come for sure. And such a mindless knitting project does not hurt at all, especially in times like these - on the contrary! I myself am knitting rather summery on the way. Considering the weather forecast, that might have been a bit brave, but on the other hand it's a dress - namely the dress Lotta from the fifth Laine magazine. So I still have a little piece ahead of me and since knitting time is a bit scarce at the moment, hopefully it will be finished when the temperatures are really stable spring-like then. It will be knitted with Tynn Line from SANDNES. And when the sky is gray, I just get the color in the apartment, goes wonderfully with my color choice: Pink!
