A wonderful good morning to the Saturday coffee with a little this and that from the knitting world and around Maschenfein.

I'm recovering this weekend from two exhausting days of shooting with Makerist and am now very excited about the finished course, which you can of course already secure without obligation at the early bird discount. When it then goes to the start (now the many filmed material is first "cut"), I'll tell you a little more detail about what you can learn in the course exactly.

News from the sewing world: If you like to sew clothes, you absolutely have to look over at the brand new "Schnittmusterkiosk" (what a cracking name!) from Meike. She's been working behind the scenes on her new store for a long time. In the last few weeks, we have intensively exchanged ideas about store systems and co, because you can always learn a lot from each other. Some time ago Meike was also here for a long interview, you remember?

I noticed this scarf with the fun color effect on Pinterest. My daughter would love this. A quick but cute project. Also on Pinterest, I noticed this great knit bag. The site is very pretty anyway, please check out this pretty little crocheted bag!

On Etsy I discovered this store where you can buy knitwear. The oversized sweaters are quite interesting. If you like oversized sweaters, then check out Lotilda, she is hosting a Knit Along, in which a cozy cardigan is created and the wool for it (namely Cusi) you can even find in my store in all colors. Then you can also participate in the #maschenfeinKAL2016 (see below). Ha! Two flies and so....

By the way, if I look at the many great projects on the needles and times so high calculate, we come this month certainly on a new "on the needles" record. So keep up the good work.

Next week starts my #maschenfeinKAL2016, the new Knit Along, where you can knit anything around Maschenfein to be part of it. Any of my Maschenfein tutorials, or just other tutorials for which you use wool from my store. Anything goes! I've been able to organize some really great, great prizes that I'll be raffling off at the end among all the lovely pictures and entries to the Knit Along. No, no, I'm not giving anything away here yet. But they are really great! So be sure to participate with your next projects, I look forward to many beautiful pictures. Next week then more about it, now I ring in the weekend.

Have a nice time!

Knitting together is always more fun, don't you think? And since there are just so many beautiful maschenfeine projects romping around on the net, I thought I'd just start a #maschenfeinKAL2016, where you can show us all your projects and even win something at the end!

meshfineCAL2016

So here is the official announcement! We start on Wednesday, September 14 and knit together until the end of October under the hashtag #maschenfeinKAL2016. I look forward to your Maschenfein projects and will show each week some of them, which I find so on the net, here. In addition, there is something nice to win at the end! Are you participating?

What are we knitting?
Everything around Maschenfein is allowed. Be it knitting packages or pattern (no matter which yarns), or even yourinstructionsttern for which you bought the yarns here in the store. Everything that has something to do with Maschenfein is allowed.

When do we knit?
Don't worry, I'm not too strict. What you already have on the needles, of course, also counts and if you want to needle only in October, you just get on later!

Hashtag?
Of course #maschenfeinKAL2016 (on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or wherever you are).

How do I participate and how can I win?
You are automatically entered if you attach the hashtag #maschenfeinKAL2016 to your projects and I can find you that way. I'll look for the most beautiful pictures every week and show them here on the blog. For blog posts about your projects, leave me comments here so that I can discover them for sure!
The winner I draw at the end of all projects and what there is to win I tell you soon.

Are you participating?

A wonderful good morning to Saturday coffee with some nice links from the knitting world.

Saturday coffee-85

Annegret wrote to me yesterday and asked for nice alternative yarns from my store for a model from the new Filati. In the magazine store I didn't find Filati Handstrick September (which she was talking about), but I did find Filati Stricken (I can't find it online anywhere), which also contains really nice designs. Not so much new stuff, but still lots of pretty stuff. If my week had an additional seven days, I'm sure I'd find some designs there and I always have nice yarn ideas to substitute anyway.

The 2nd edition of my book is already in print, how great is that? I could still block a swing of books from the publisher and hope that here no delivery bottlenecks arise until then seamlessly the 2nd edition is delivered. By the way, I've added a nice book to the store that I've had here for a while and would like to introduce to you in more detail. I would like to gradually set up a nice book corner in the store, where you will find only books and magazines that I like.

I have finally put the sleeves of my Cusi cardigan in place and am now advocating seamless cardigans and sweaters without exception. I had mentioned how to modify the sleeves on the Cusi cardigan here.

By the way, I reactivated my old Twitter account. So if you are also on Twitter, then say hello!

Knit Knit in Berlin is having a little "knit together" today to celebrate the start of the season. Should you be in the vicinity....

I am looking for beautiful designs for men and somehow find nothing clever. Do you have a good tip? I looked around at Brooklyn Tweed but didn't find the right one. And more.... is somehow not there. Or?

On the needles I came across the blog of Sora and have also immediately looked at your beautiful pictures on Instagram. I am always so happy about new discoveries!

Soon it's #capweather again and on Pinterest I've been cleaning up my cap pinboard a bit. I was asked for a new Maschenfein cap model, I do not know yet whether there will be one slipping off my needles, or whether it might still be a pair of arm warmers or gloves. As for my own pattern, I'm a little spontaneous, there is knitted what just so comes.

What I would really like would be socks in this style.

What have you discovered this week so beautiful on the net? Tell me in the comments?

My review of August reflects a month rich in knitting. I am especially happy about more and more beautiful pictures with the hashtag #maschenfein and your projects, which I can then show further. There were so many this month.

For example, @crea_box has shown the baby blanket Mila in a beautiful color combination (1). Then in between quickly came the Cashmere Big on my heavy knitting needles (2), because I wanted to knit very quickly two chunky hats for the next issue of Mollie Makes (9). Such a great yarn and beautiful for special birthday gifts.

In between, it was already quite cool in the morning, so I have expectantly brought out my patchwork cloth (3). But the sandal weather has returned once again and so the warmer cloths are again neatly in the closet.

Then *tadaaaa* the very first picture of my book showed up on Instagram (4)! Isn't that a great picture? With all the excitement I almost forgot the glove knitting, but that has to be (5 & 10), after all, next week will be shot at makerist.

My mom sent me a (6) picture of my grandma and me in the 80's. She with over 90 still has a pair of socks on the needles.

Last winter @strickliebe knitted my cable sleeve mittens (7). I remembered this in my mitten craze. I fell in love with the Lamana Curry colorway. That's why I'm now knitting the next major project in this color (8). The swatch from Lusso and Bergamo is knit in the wrong brioche. The progress is now on my needles.

The first designs from my book are showing up on Instagram and Facebook. That's such a great feeling! For example, @melanietrtpw knits the shawl Sinikka (11), which is the big favorite right now and the first project for many of you.

Finally the new yarn Bayak from Pascuali arrived here! You can already find all the colors and a more detailed description in the store.

I love September. In general, the time between summer and autumn, when the days are still so wonderfully sunny and warm, but the evenings and early mornings are already so cool and make so much desire for warmer knitting. August has already been busy again at Auf den Nadeln. I am curious whether the projects will increase in September.

On-the-Needles September Maschenfein

By the way, did you know that the action "On the needles" is now already one and a half years old and we collect so many beautiful projects here every month? Really great that you participate so diligently and link up here month after month and browse the others.

With me is just a new project on the needles, of which I do not yet know whether it will actually be as I imagine it. Therefore, I do not reveal much more. Only so much: I combine the so great Lusso yarn with Bergamo. I like the subtle effect of this combination so much, I have already fallen in love with the stitch test totally. I hope that the shape will also be so that I can then soon show you more.

And what are you knitting in September? What happened to your August projects? Will you tell us here? I'm looking forward to it! Just comment here under this post or link yourself in the link collection. You can link up all month long! Attention: You have to put a backlink to this post or blog in your post, otherwise it won't work with the link tool. A backlink is nothing more than a link to this blog :)!

For all of you who are visiting here for the first time: Each month I'll collect your knitting projects by linking your respective blog posts to "On the Needles" here. You can find all past collections to browse in the On the Needles section.

On Instagram I use the hashtag #aufdennadelnseptember (and quite deliberately you will also find projects from last year). Join in there too!
