The other day I sang the song "Der Herbst, der Herbst, der Herbst ist da" to my son at breakfast (don't ask). Since I did not think of the entire song lyrics anyway, I now thought we could simply re-phrase this yet quite catchy earworm in: "... he brings us rope, hei hussassa"). What do you think? Maybe I'll inherit Ralph Siegel and submit the song for San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest next year. But until then I'll write for you! A wonderful good morning to the Saturday coffee with earworm guarantee!
It's going to be really Sweater Weather soon
Admittedly, the cozy sweater or the cozy cardigan you can not yet wear all day (I at least not. From noon I get then but easily sweat). But still: I'm just happy to put on my beloved knitwear again in the morning. They warm not only arms and shoulders, but also the heart.
So if you want to try your hand at the next fall project before, after, during or instead of our Maschenfein x SANDNES Knit Alongs, you should take a look atcardoon by Isabell Kraemer or Nightswimming by Melanie Berg. Because that's always the beauty of knitting: With so many great designs, there's something for everyone!
Finally Alpaca Fino again
When I think of Sandra, I also always think of Alpaca Fino. Somehow my colleague and Pascuali yarn are inseparable. Maybe that's simply because Sandra has an excellent nose for great yarns and also simply Alpaca Fino is also simply a great yarn.
And how fitting it is that you can use it super for the cardoon can use. The sweater (which, by the way, does not have a finished collar in the picture) is knitted with a round yoke top down in rounds. The neckline is formed with the help of short rows. Hach, this is all music to my ears. In yours too?
Also with round yoke is the sweater Nightswimming by Melanie Berg is also constructed with a round yoke. And although both sweaters have the same stitch definition, the second one looks more delicate - which is certainly due to the fine lace pattern.
Knitting is done with Balayage and Manadaboth also from Pascuali. If you want to avoid mohair (Manada contains 45% of it), you can use the second yarn Midnatssol from CaMaRose as a second yarn. We are happy to help you with the color combination! Just send us an email to "support@maschenfein.de".
Nightswimming is knitted like cardoon in rounds top down. The tutorial is still available at a reduced price until Sunday (please check the Ravelry description for the appropriate code). Since Melanie is going through a tough time right now, it certainly builds her up if you knit one of her designs and support her by purchasing her pattern. Anyway, we wish you lots of strength, Melanie, and get well soon!
Oldie, but now really goldie
I am a long time fan of the Cumulus Blouse of PetiteKnit. There is also after all already for three years and also with us for a long time as a knitting kit. So far we have recommended for the light sweater the Kidsilk Haze from Rowan recommended. But on Instagram we came across Mari's post in which she shows the sweater from Deluxe Silk Mohair from Krea Deluxe. Holla, how beautiful! That's why you can find this variant from now on also with us. And as with Melanie Berg's design, the same applies here: If you don't like or can't knit mohair, you can use Midnatssol from CaMaRose (all variations are knitted with double yarn).
You can also crochet this bag in double thread (!). I have shown you the Chunky Bag during our interview with Heidi from Krea Deluxe (just like that, without yarn information) and of course the question for a yarn recommendation came up (quite rightly).
Here I consulted with Jule, since the original yarn is no longer available. Our tip: You can crochet double stranded Organic Cotton from Krea Deluxe or single thread from Ica from LAMANA. Either way, I wouldn't buy the zipper until the bag is finished crocheting to determine the correct length, as the size may vary a bit. But beautiful it is in any case and certainly a - pssst! - great Christmas gift.
Delicate autumn look
Similar delicate and light as the Cumulus Blouse I imagine the new design of ChrisBerlin. The cardigan Powder Rose is made with Modena from LAMANA and Midnatssol knitted by CaMaRose. Eye-catchers are the fine details, which you can see for example on the right picture. The color of Modena stays the same all the time, only the color of Midnatssol changes at the sleeves. A good opportunity to get creative and experiment with different color combinations (of course we'll be happy to advise you!). As always with ChrisBerlin, you can also purchase the tutorial individually from us.
À propos delicate and light: One of our favorite yarns was and is yes Cashmere 6/28 from Pascuali. Yes, the yarn is high-priced, no question. But it's also made from 100% of one of the finest fibers there is, and it's certified organic (here I've written you more about it).
Susanne alias Paula_m now had the phenomenal idea to make her Easypeasy Bandana from just that Cashmere 6/28 (you need two balls). The result is a wonderful bandana that - I can't say it any other way - is simply soft. You can also get the pattern separately from us (they are even free). I'm afraid this is going to be one of those projects that I might need to do as a weekend knit quilt. I mean, otherwise I have me knitting technically really under control, but here ... Since woman may be weak!

Already thinking about Weihn******!
I don't want to put any pressure on you, I really don't, but are you aware that October starts next week? There is not much time left until, well, um, Christmas. 🤷♀️ So you can already confidently think about their own gifts. Especially we want to recommend our collection with Franzi Klee to you. So that the small team from Leipzig can manage everything in time, there will be only one more sales slot before Christmas. From October 4th to 11th you can buy the project bag Mona, needle case Mara or the small case Mila. And maybe something completely new that Franzi and her team have created for us ....
Next week starts our Knit Along
Since we are on dates: Here is the friendly reminder that next week our Knit Along starts 😉 Together with you we knit our way through the magazine 2109 from SANDNES. In it there are so beautiful designs for the cool season. You can find all the kits here. We start on October 1st!
Maschenfein knitting round
If you want to share your pictures from the Knit Along on Instagram and Facebook, feel free to use the hashtag #maschenfeinsandneskal. And of course #maschenfeinstrickrunde as usual. There you can see for example the two shawls from Angelika and Manuela. Once Spinel Love from ChrisBerlin and Amelia. This was the second Mother's Day design from Sandra and it is still beautiful!
Claudia has finished the shirt Lottaa variation of the dress with the same name. I think it's mega! And at Sandra 's you can see two cones with yarn from ITO. With new yarn from ITO, which is now being tested. In the store you can already find the two new additions and next week I'll tell you more about it!
In this sense: I wish you a wonderful weekend (do not forget to vote)! Have fun knitting and browsing!

Dear Maschenfeinteam
The Chuncky Bag has done it to me very much and I have also found on Ravelry the embroidery pattern. Unfortunately, however, in English. The language would not make any difficulties for me. However, since I am not a crochet expert, I have quite a bit of respect for the English "crochet terminology". Is there perhaps a German translation in sight?
Best regards from Switzerland
Kathrin Stief
Dear Kathrin, unfortunately no. 🙁 But maybe a little bag is just the right project to dare to an English crochet tutorial? On this page I found the most common abbreviations, maybe that already helps. Best wishes and good luck! Sophia
Dear Sophia
Have a nice and relaxing Sunday and please write the lyrics of the song
further is a great idea since you can then write the appropriate notes to it, I'm already looking forward to
on the text. Your ideas for the knitters are as always just brilliant.

Dear Margret, thank you! I'll see how it goes with my singer-songwriter career 😉 Until then, I'll write about knitting for now! Love and have a good week! Sophia

Good morning Sophia,
once again a great Saturday coffee.
I had to smile at the introduction of the Tavalli socks. Last night I bought the tutorial, because I still have maschenfein crown wool in the stash.
The needles are filling up again.
I wish you a nice weekend.
Anja
Hi Anja, I am reassured that the needles do not remain empty! Now we just have to get behind with the knitting 😉 Love greetings! Sophia
