A wonderful good morning to the Saturday coffee with a little this and that from the knitting world and around Maschenfein.

The vacations are coming to an end here in Berlin. And now I'm ready for vacation. A vacation from the vacations. That would be it! Instead, the holiday marathon is going on until the extremely early summer vacations. That means planning projects in advance and working even more efficiently. Cross unnecessary tasks off the to-do list and focus on the really important, bigger projects. There are a few of those on the agenda here! There will be two new books again this year. Uaaahh!!! They are in the final spurt right now and will be m-e-g-a! For real now! I am soososo looking forward to your response in the fall and can't wait to share more about them. And because that's still such a long time away, there's still the second big Maschenfeine idea this year, in which you can all participate. After "Zora" is before... psssstttt, one thing at a time: while we're still comfortably lingering in Zora fever until Mother's Day, the preparations for this second great idea this year are running in parallel and I'm going to freak out when all the ingredients that are still missing for this project are finally here. I am so excited, you can look forward to something really, really great!

Enough mystery. We have again discovered many beautiful things in the past week.

Inspirations from the world of knitting

This beautiful sweater #duneandbosco by eritml we have discovered brand new on Instagram. It's so new that unfortunately there are no pattern yet, but when we looked at the designer's Ravelry page , some other beautiful pieces immediately caught our eye. For example, this one:

The sweater called Holiday from eri. It's available in short sleeve and long sleeve, the pattern can be found here on Ravelry. You can knit Holiday from ITO Kinu and ITO Sensai and I'm getting all jittery again, because the beautiful summer yarns are slowly coming into focus. You don't knit in summer? Hello, there are so many beautiful summer yarns and projects, this summer is going to be warm and knitting. Really now!

The NOTICE Spring Cardigan by ANKESTRiCK is online, you can find the pattern on Ravelry, that knitting kit we have not yet packed, is still on the to-do list (has also not fallen down, just slipped down). We would knit it now in the spring at even cooler temperatures from ITO Rakuda.

A super nice scarf that I have already admired at the h+h fair is Karoline from Ani Knits. You can find the pattern on Ravelry and also this kit is on the list for you. You can also knit the shawl as is, it is knitted from ITO Sensai, ITO Washi and ITO Shio, the quantities can be found ininstructionsttern.

Totally clever is the Twist-genseren by Nina Ruth, for which you can find the pattern here on Ravelry. You can also knit it from ITO Kinu and ITO Sensai.

A pretty summery project is Ocotillo by Melissa Kemmerer (go here for the tutorial on Ravelry). Pascuali Saffira fits perfectly with it!

And if you are still looking for something quick for little girls: The Amelia Blouse from stadtkindknits I find suuuuper! great! With a fine detail on the sleeves. It's knit from Sandnes Mandarin Petit and you can find the pattern on Ravelry. It's worth a look at the Stadtkindknits site anyway. Also, this Ixelles Summer Top knit from Sandnes Mandarin Petit is totally beautiful! Crap, my fingers are tingling already....

And here on the left, the Tira Top from a tutorial by Sandra monochrome from Pascuali Nepal. And on the right the Anna's Cardigan by PetiteKnit from Sandnes Duo, a really great yarn that I also have on my needles right now - it knits like butter.

Have a great weekend!
