A wonderful good morning to Saturday coffee with a little this and that and some nice links from the knitting world.

Saturday coffee-71

My days are way too short right now and filled with mess elimination. Stitch samples are sorted, yarn bobbins are pushed back and forth, and notes are archived. The many projects of the past few months have left their mark here. I'm happy to report that by the end of next week, most of my work on the book will be done. Yes, yes. You can already imagine it, my book, but behind the scenes the last threads are still being sewn, hard to believe! And I'm already in the starting blocks for the upcoming projects, but still have to write last lines for the book.

Speaking of books! When you're in the middle of a publisher's fall planning, you naturally notice other new releases that are due in August/September. There's a lot of nice stuff there.

Nina from Knit Knit, for example, brings out her second book : The ingenious quick knitter book: for babies and kids. A few designs I have already seen, it is guaranteed to be a great book and you can already see on the cover model clearly Nina's touch.

Dagmar from Miezi Berlin has written a book with pattern for hats and scarves in beautiful patterns: Simply Knit Patterns: Hats, Scarves and More with Wow Effect. I have not seen much yet, but the cover is already very pretty!

I am very curious about the book by Ingrid Impelen about knitted ponchos and favorite capes. Also published by Edition Michael Fischer. Ponchos are very popular for the fall. All publishers bring out something on the subject. Here still the book in the GU publishing house and there in the Topp publishing house. I am excited!

I get a lot of newsletters from a lot of English-language blogs (oh dear, that reminds me that I also wanted to send out a newsletter again). So anyway, I like to read newsletters myself and a few days ago one from Curious Handmade came flying in, with information about the "Shawl Society". I think that's a great idea. I know there are similar offers in German-speaking countries.

But we are all knitting the spring waffle scarf together now. Right? It's great how many of you are already involved and I'm really looking forward to your first pictures and reports!

Have a nice weekend.

PS: Have you seen that I have the latest Lamana yarn "Milano" already in all colors in the store? Milano is wonderful! It's a blend of merino and cashmere. I have it on my needles right now! More about it soon.
