A wonderful good Saturday morning for net talk over a cup of coffee. Things seem to be looking up at Maschenfein, viruses have finally been fought and the weather is doing the rest, I even get to knit a bit more in the evenings. And that's good, because...

Knitting ideas

... over on Woolspire we are finally starting our big Mairlynd Woolspire Knit-Along (KAL)! Melanie Berg has made two of her tutorials on Woolspire into a kit, and now there's a Moonraker kit and a Quicksilver kit to knit along during our KAL! We're knitting both shawls with yarns from Du Store Alpakka. Since I am absolutely in love with "Fin" (50% silk, 50% baby alpaca), I am knitting the Quicksilver. Next to my coffee mug you can see my color samples, I've had a bit of a head start. But I still can't make up my mind. I still have a little time until I finally order the kit, because we really start knitting next Wednesday, which is a nice Easter project! But of course you can join us anytime after that. By the way, I buy myself of course in the Woolspire store and the shipping is really fast, so you can do well until Wednesday.

And what else I have to tell:

Felicia has explained on her blog exactly how to knit a pretty neckline. I was very inspired by this, because I find the collar really very beautiful!

Does it happen to you sometimes that you find a nice tutorial on Ravelry, but you can't find the yarn for it anywhere? The solution is the site Yarnsub. When you enter the appropriate yarn, you get a list of possible alternatives. It shows exactly how the alternative yarn fits or where and how it deviates. I find it very useful!

Do you actually know Ittybitty? I speak unfortunately only school French no French, but sooo beautiful projects! The pattern are usually at least also in English, on Ravelry. Somewhere on her blog there must be this project with the playful raglan line, unfortunately I can not find the original link.

Next week is the Handarbeit und Hobby trade fair in Cologne. I will be there Friday and Saturday, are any of you there?

And if you still want to continue browsing, then take a look at "On the needles" again, there are already many great projects linked!

Have a nice sunny weekend!
