A wonderful good morning to Saturday coffee with a little this and that from the knitting world and around Maschenfein and a brand new magazine in the luggage!!!!

Above in the picture you can see my first Christmas pile. The color of the Silk Mohair has it me so angetan and together with the matching color in Mini Alpakka shall arise from this skirt, which then hopefully in December under the Christmas tree wanders.

I had already wanted to knit it last year, this super cute ballerina skirt. When he then appeared via Instagram at Miriam, it was now done around me. Difficult he is not, by the many skirt flounces but also despite the size not a very fast project. Now I have also fallen in love with this great color of Sandnes Silk Mohair called Blå Print, so the skirt must now on the needles.

I'm a big mohair fan anyway. You probably already know that, at least those of you who have been reading here for a while. Mohair sometimes has the image of being scratchy, but really high-quality yarns aren't that at all. I also super like this new sweater (pictured above) "Scotty Sweater" by Mette aka PetiteKnit, with the crocheted vertical lines. I guess the tutorial is still in the works right now and should be published soon. First in English, but often German-language versions will follow.

Speaking of German-language versions! The sweater "Amrum" by Katrin Schneider is now also available in German! I know that many of you have been eagerly waiting for it. We have the matching wool package here in the Maschenfeinshop - it is knitted from the beautiful new cashmere yarn from ITO as a raglan construction top down with a pretty lace pattern. A super fine piece, which is also great for cozy office outfits.

Laine Issue 6 Maschenfein

The brand new Laine magazine (the 6th issues) also contains great parts again. The magazine itself is always a very special experience, I think. You can just feel that there is really a lot of knitting love behind it. I had recently already presented in a post the designs from it in more detail.

Poet by Sari Nordlund is knit seamlessly top down with a lace pattern. The knitting kit contains the appropriate amount of Como.

Afterparty by Astrid Troland is worked seamlessly from the bottom up, and includes a two-tone pattern in the yoke. In the knitting kit you will find the matching amount of Cumbria Fingering.

There's also something for sock knitters (and I learned the other day that many of you actually are)! The Vinr socks by Andrea Mowry. The matching knitting kit includes the necessary amount of Premium Silk. And the yarn is really worth it, I just had it on the needles too.

And now for the big news of the coming week!!! The new LAMANA magazine is here! Yes, it's October and every year in the fall the new LAMANA collection is released. This year I really like it again especially. I love the layout, like the color scheme of the magazine very much (Team Blue rocks!!) and also find many, many designs in it just totally beautiful. It will arrive in the warehouse next week and we have already prepared all the knitting kits in the store for you. Who likes can pre-order now.

And here's a peek at our first favorites (with at least five more to go....)

On the left, the sweater #05/08 two-thread knit from Premia and Milano. I say yes.... Mohair love and nothing really scratches with Premia. On the right, the title model, jacket #07/08 double yarn knit in Milano. So two colors are needed, combined differently.

Here on the left is the delicate triangle shawl #10/08, knitted from Cusi. I could imagine it really, really well in curry (still one of the trend colors at all). On the right a sweater #08/22 from Bergamo.

We've bundled all the knitting kits for the new magazine together for you on this page, hop on over and see which are your favorites for the upcoming season.

I still have something for you:

One of the many beautiful Bjarka pictures on Instagram left by Eva. I really like the colors and the Bjarka from mydaughtersknit will also come from the same color world (right). You can find the kit for this soul warmer from our latest book here.

Last but not least, a tip to all the sewers and project bag lovers among you: Bine from Was Eigen has shared on her blog for free a superduper pattern for a bag (the Pompadour fabric bag), which is perfect for us knitters as a project bag. I really needed to show you this one, it's sososo pretty! If you sew it, be sure to time it in use on Instagram. Bine will certainly be happy and I am excited about all the beautiful variants!

Have a nice, sunny weekend! And if you have read to here below, then tell us what your favorites were in today's Saturday coffee and what else went through your head while reading.
