A wonderful good morning to the Saturday coffee with a little this and that from the knitting world and around Maschenfein.

The Saturday net whisper has paused a little in the past few weeks here due to the arrival of the baby girl. In the store, however, it went further around and many news have moved in continuously, so that it is not boring. It will not be in the knitting world, of course, even in the spring and summer. Even if some knitters rest their needles in the warmer months, there is an almost endless variety of summer yarns for all other needle addicts (not to mention the all-season bestsellers) and a variety of beautiful designs for the summer. Some I show you again today.

As for me, I'm currently content with sporadic knitting of stitch samples, because the special nature of the baby girl does require very time-intensive care. In addition to almost daily appointments with doctors and various aftercare stories, breastfeeding is, after all, actually very time-consuming and a balancing act next to the big siblings. The weight gain leaves a lot to be desired... but it's getting better, we've had quite a few other hurdles to overcome in the past few weeks. In my head I'm knitting more than ever and let me inspire the more on the net of all the beautiful new designs or even older designs to which I can think of new yarn alternatives.

The brand new yarn "Modena" from LAMANA has just moved in, which we have all been eagerly awaiting since the dealer fair. Sandra has already introduced it to you in more detail in my Maschenfein stories on Instagram. Knitted alone it is wonderfully delicate, but still requires some patience. Combined with "Premia" Sandra comes to the very common gauge of 22 stitches per 10cm, which comes into question for many designs to which this combination of merino, cashmere, mohair and silk fits. For example, you could knit Granito by Joji Locatelli with this combination. You can also use it with a mottled effect by choosing two different colors of Modena and Premia. But of course a Hinata, the cover model of my first book, would also be dreamy from this combination.

From Modena alone you could knit this gorgeous top Laaila by Regina Moessmer.

The Sandnes magazines are back in stock and so are most of the Tynn Line and Mandarin Petit colors. The two big spring favorites in the store are continuously the Julie and Julia tops. Replaced by Tira, the new design from Sandra, which you can also find at the very front of the slider on the front page right now with a nice photo of her test knitters.

Sandra Sonnenburg has also designed a beautiful summer top, the Insa top, knitted from Perla by LAMANA. Check out this beautiful colorway, here from Frau Wollkenfrollein! Or look, in this picture you can really feel the softness of the yarn, it's tingling in your hands again (and this time it's not water, haha), hach!

If I had more time right now, I would knit myself a batik jacket for the spring. And when a few days ago in the Maschenfein knitting round once again the desire for a Knit Along came up, I was briefly tempted to hit this jacket. But would be currently unreasonable, because here still two projects want to be finished, if I dare after the stitch tests then times again on larger projects.

The Ravelry pattern truffle piggy Kerstin has also dug up again so some lately. For example, these slippers / socks. Go always times so in between. Also great as a gift.

The absolute Oberhammer is this knitted project bag. The pattern is apparently unfortunately only with the pompom booklet, but as inspiration already times all-first league, I find. And actually it does not really need a tutorial, patchwork knitting says hello.

There is a new design from Isabell Kraemer. Not really spring-like, but so beautiful and fine light: Yana lite. It can be knitted warmly from Rakuda and Sensai, or also from Tynn Alpakka Ull.

What do you have so currently on the needles? Tell times and if you feel like it, link you but at "On the needles", even now in May, many beautiful projects have already come together.

Have a great long weekend!

PS: pssssstt... by the way, Kerstin and Sandra have shown their wonderfully pretty #hyggeheimgeheim stacks on Instagram... click and click.
