A wonderful good morning to Saturday coffee, today with a special edition from Cologne. Here takes place this weekend the h+h fair, the world's largest trade fair for needlework and hobby, where over 400 exhibitors from numerous nations present their novelties and trends. I was already today with the smallest trend scout before the belly on the fair and discovered far too many beautiful new things, together with Kerstin and Sandra. Sometimes we also remembered to take a few pictures.

Blue Sky Fibers

Our first stop right at the beginning of the show was the Blue Sky Fibers booth, where Julia showed us the entire range and the beautiful color palettes in the flesh. I'm really looking forward to the first shipment, especially the "Organic Cotton" yarn that Bea was shrieking about on the other end of the internet. After all, she doesn't knit animal fibers. So Organic Cotton is another maschenfein yarn that makes knitters like her happy. But it makes me happy, too. Hach.

Another yarn from Blue Sky Fibers that I'm looking forward to is "Techno", a classy alternative to Kos from Sandnes, where some of you were bothered by the nylon construction. "Techno" is the all-natural alternative to Kos. It is just as lightweight, but is made of all-natural fibers. The construction builds on a silk tube in this yarn, but admittedly that makes it more expensive. It will move into the store by fall at the latest.

LAMANA

The LAMANA booth has a really strong recognition value every year and always inspires me from afar. There are also already some great designs of the fall magazine hanging there to feel and look forward to. There is even something for men.

There is no new quality this year, instead LAMANA is focusing on expanding the color palettes (especially Como Tweed is getting some really great new colors, you can look forward to that soon) and introducing the new Piura hand-dyed line.

Rowan

I really had gasps several times at the Rowan booth. For one thing, there are beautiful new yarns there. So really beautiful! And on the other hand, two real must-have pieces. The right part here in the picture I will knit in autumn. Mark it in advance and reserve a little time. It's so great, the coat. Just believe me.

ITO Yarn

And since I was just breathing then already so in practice, it continued with the snap breathing at the stand of ITO. There will be a new yarn called "Kuroten" in the fall, of which we were immediately allowed to pack a little to test it first and secondly to knit directly to a mini fine design - so Sandra. Not that she gets into a knitting idle. And to prevent that, she also loaded up on a project right away, together with ITO. The ladies of the test round may already get out the needles, it's worth it, I promise!

There will also be more SHIMO colors in the fall. Kerstin sat suspiciously quiet in the corner at this meeting. I suspect we will see at least one or two designs from ITO yarns on her channel in the coming months.

Pascuali

Great at Pascuali, as last year, is the "knitting-on station". Small, fine bowls with all available yarn qualities invite you to cast on and cast on stitch samples.

There are no new qualities at Pascuali this year, but an expansion of the color ranges and very, very great color cards also for end customers, which will facilitate the color selection for knitting projects. These will then also be available here with us - of course!

Outlook

Tomorrow we will continue to stroll through the fair, learn about the novelties at Chiaogoo (there are new needles that meet exactly our nerve), beautiful things from Cocoknits examine and still pursue one or the other idea that is haunted so in the head. Plus, I'm sure I'll be taking lots of extended coffee breaks with the Fraulein. At the Schachenmayr booth. Because with their Café-Mobil, they have definitely created the best place to take a break at the fair.

Have a great weekend!
