Heather Sweater - 2403-13

The Heather Sweater from Sandnes Magazine 2403 DIY is a casual and simple sweater that is still nice and warm in spring, but not too bulky under a jacket.
The Heather Sweater has an exciting construction. It is always worked from the top down. First, stitches are cast on for the upper part of the back and this part of the yoke is knitted crosswise until the yoke covers the entire width of the upper back and reaches under the armpits. Stitches for the shoulders are picked up at the ends of the long edge and knitted, while the neckline is shaped by increases. The front pieces are joined below the neckline and knitted up to the armpits. At this point, stitches are picked up from the other long edge of the back yoke and joined to the front piece to form the body, which is then knitted in rounds down to the hem. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the armholes and knitted in rounds down to the cuff. Finally, stitches are picked up from the neckline and the cuff is knitted.

Knitting kit

The knitting kit contains the required quantity of Sandnes - Tynn Peer Gynt (100% virgin wool) and Tynn Silk Mohair (57% mohair, 28% silk, 15% virgin wool) in your desired color for your size as well as optional single knitting pattern. You will also need 2.5 and 4.0 mm knitting needles (or needles to match the gauge).
