Description
Sandnes - Tynn Peer Gynt
Tynn Peer Gynt is the thin fingering version of the well-known and popular Peer Gynt. Peer Gynt by SANDNES made of 100% Norwegian new wool has been around since 1938 and is therefore the "oldest" Sandes yarn quality. Tynn Peer Gynt is excellent for larger and smaller garments, as it holds its shape particularly well. It is sturdy and keeps you incredibly warm. This yarn literally screams for colorful Norwegian patterns, and now in this thin version they can get extra fine. The wool softens as you wear it.
Responsibility
The wool for Tynn Peer Gynt comes from Norway and is of course mulesing-free, as this is not practiced in Norway anyway, so it has a particularly short journey.
Sandnes is committed to making their sustainable and responsible contribution in the ecological cycle. They are in the process of establishing a fully traceable supply chain. The alpacas and Norwegian sheep are raised freely on uncultivated land, so no deforestation or anything like that is necessary. In addition, green electricity from hydropower is used for production and the water used is then purified again.
