As if painted by wind and waves in the sand - with the unusual diamond pattern on her cloth Amrum designer Melanie Berg (mairlynd) has wonderfully captured the magic of the island. Even as you knit, you can feel the vastness of the sea, smell the fresh salt air and listen to the calls of the seagulls. The long semi-circular shawl is reminiscent of the shape of the island itself and brings out the soft chiaroscuro effects of our new Cheeky Merino Joy melange colors especially beautifully.
