Nova Sweater (Tweed Recycled) - 2311V2-07

Knitting kit for the "Nova Sweater" from the SandnesYarn Magazine 2311 DIY (Vol.2) this time written for the Tweed Recycled. Auch this Nova Sweater is a light sweater in a semi-pattern for the less chilly autumn and winter days, which gets a special look from the tweed yarn. The booklet contains two versions for this sweater, you can decide if you prefer to knit from the bottom up or the other way around, according to your preferences.

For the sweater knitted from the bottom, cast on the stitches for the front and back and knit in half brioche up to under the arms. This part is set aside and the sleeves are worked first, also from the cuffs to the armpit. Then the sleeves, front and back are taken on one needle and the raglan slants are worked by decreases. Finally, the long collar is worked, which can be folded over to the outside or inside.

For the sweater knitted from the top, cast on the stitches for the neckline and divide into sleeve, front and back stitches. Then knit in rounds, forming the raglan slopes by increases. After the sleeves are stopped, the body is knit in rounds to the cuff. Then the sleeves are worked down from the armpits to the cuff. The sweater has a long collar that can be worn turned out or in.

The sweater is knitted from Tweed Recycled (80% recycled virgin wool, 20% recycled cashmere) on a 3.5 mm needle (or matching the gauge).
