Filli hot water bottle cover

Winter is (almost) here and Christmas is fast approaching. This calls for small projects to sweeten the pre-Christmas period and perhaps even end up as a gift under the tree. One such project is the Filli hot water bottle cover, which is knitted from Sandnes Fritid yarn and then felted in the washing machine.

The cover is knitted seamlessly from the top down in rounds. After the cast-on, the top opening is worked and then the fit for the hot water bottle body is adjusted by increases. After the middle section in rounds, the front and back sections are bound off together. At the very end, you can decide whether you want to knit the pretty bow as an I-cord before the hot water bottle cover goes into the washing machine for felting.

Knitting set

The knitting kit contains the necessary amount of Sandnes fritid yarn (100% virgin wool) in your desired color and optional PDF knitting pattern. You will also need 5.5 mm knitting needles (or needles to match the gauge) and a hot water bottle (not included in the knitting kit!)
