Sandnes - Fritidsgarn
Sandnes - Fritidsgarn is made of 100% Norwegian new wool and is suitable not only for knitting clothes, but also for felting. Due to the weight of the yarn, you get the result quickly, which makes Fritidsgarn also great as a beginner's yarn for children.
Responsibility
The wool for Fritidsgarn comes from Norway and is of course mulesing-free, since this is not practiced in Norway anyway, and thus has a particularly short way.
Sandnes aims to make their sustainable and responsible contribution in the ecological cycle. They are in the process of establishing a fully traceable supply chain. The alpacas and Norwegian sheep are raised freely on uncultivated land, so no deforestation or anything like that is necessary. In addition, green electricity from hydropower is used for production and the water used is then purified again.

I have worked the Doble Tøfler with it and am thrilled with the result. Felting has made the wool, which is quite hard when knitting, wonderfully soft and cozy. A garment I would probably rather not knit from it.
