Georges Dress Junior

The Georges Dress Junior by Johanna Gehrisch is a children's dress with a romantic look and a fitted top. The skirt part falls further and is separated from the top by a beautiful cord with bow.
Knitting is seamless top down. First work back and forth in rows to form the round neckline and armholes. Then the dress is completed completely stockinette stitch in rounds. The rather short torso, which should be close to the body, is cast off with an i-cord edge and at the same time provided with i-cord cords to tie a decorative bow later and set to the side. After this, stitches are picked up along the i-cord edge and after some increases have been worked, the skirt of the dress is worked in rounds and finally also cast off with an i-cord edge. Armholes and round neckline are also serged with an i-cord edge.
The fit of the dress is comfortably tailored with a neutral or else a negative to positive positive ease of up to 5 cm at the rib cage, but should not be too wide to allow for an optimal fit. At the same time, it should not be cut too tight for maximum comfort. The increases on the skirt part ensure plenty of freedom of movement when playing and romping, as well as an airy, summery and pleasantly light fit. The bow attached to the side is a small eye-catcher of the design and adds a romantic touch to the rather simple look.
