Big KIM Cardigan - knitting pattern
The Big KIM Cardigan with wide batwing sleeves is knitted in one piece from the top by picking up stitches from the knits. Unlike the light summer version, here instead of using the provisional gauge for the shoulders and sleeves, the loop gauge is used to give the sleeves stability. The shoulder-sleeve area is shaped with short rows and the lower sleeve seams are closed with the stitch stitch so that they remain invisible or seamless. The cardigan has a V-neckline and open edges at the neck and armholes, which finish with a godet edge.
Decreases on the sides of the bottom give the cardigan a nice curve under the armholes and makes it a little narrower towards the bottom.
