What is the saying? Everything is new in May! We can transfer the well-known phrase only conditionally to our knitting needle situation, but hey ... Then we just hum the song while knitting and dream already of the new projects.

As every month, you can find out what the Maschenfein team has on the needles. Feel free to tell us what you're knitting right now or what project you're looking forward to in the near future. How do you do that? We'll explain it to you below. Have fun reading!

Test knitting in own thing

Currently, the design forge is running hot at Maschenfein. Marisa and our hard-working testers have several projects on the needles or waiting in the wings. Also in the test team: Jule.

I have the test knit of the Hortensie Cardigan from Marisa on the needle. I chose Tweed Recycled in Olive Grønn for the yarn. I love the cardigan already! It's totally fun to knit, the double knit cuffs look great and the shoulder construction is just beautiful. Looking forward to the new tutorial :-).

Louisa also knits the half brioche cardigan test. A self-confessed tweed addict, she uses the same yarn as Jule.

I'm test knitting the Hydrangea Cardigan with Tweed Recycled by Sandes. I took advantage of May Day to take a nice photo and then did a few more rounds on the first sleeve while the design team of Marisa, Lisa and Sandra thought about the cuffs. The design is super well thought out and will be a lot of fun for experienced knitters.

One thing at a time ... or is it?

Comma V-Neck at Sandra's.

Sandra is also in the #teamhortensiecardigan. But there is still this other part on the needles. Therefore, our little knitting machine must share her attention. And above all suppress the impulse to start another project ...

And again greets the Comma V-Neck from Anne Ventzel.......
Still, the weather here continues to be not very summery, so I'll probably continue to work a bit on this project from Como Grande in ice blue in May in between.
Also, the second sleeve of my Hortensie Cardi is on the needles - at least one of these two pieces has to be finished before something new can go on the needles!!!!!!!!!

Our Mother's Day Knit-Along is still running. Barbara makes indirectly also with. Although not with cloth or stole Zoe, but with a sweater. I would say: No matter! It comes from the heart anyway.

For my mom I knit a Mother's Day sweater. I find the idea of Mother's Day shawl soooo beautiful! Unfortunately, Zoe is still much too demanding for me, but my mom should not come up short because of it! She chose the Marley V-neck sweater from Sandnes and of course did me a favor with it, because it knits up like a spring stroll in Børstet Alpakka. The kids totally respond to the cozy knit and now also all want such a sweater, so he is actually for young people from seven to 70 something!

Knitting always goes

Stockholm cap at Judith.

Having several projects at the same time - we all know this situation at Maschenfein. And such a project for on the road is quite practical - Judith thinks so too:

In addition to big projects, I always need a small project that fits in my coat pocket. After all, I love to be on the road without a bag. But I still don't want to do without a few rows in between. Here you can see the beginning of a Stockholm hat from PetiteKnit in the color Blå Iris. And besides the great color of the knitted piece, the photo reminds me of a walk on Usedom ...

Already able to knit three knitting projects further than your hands in your head? That sounds just like me.

Hach ... if only I had just as much knitting time as I feel like knitting! But that's just the way it is. So I'm knitting round after round on my Weekend Slipover from PetiteKnit in Duo and Tynn Silk Mohair from Sandnes - and I don't really know whether I should hope that the weather will still be so fickle so that I can wear it. Because next up is a summer project from PetiteKnit waiting in the wings.

Liebes Mascheinfein-Team,

Lieben Dank
Eure Katrin

Hello,
I would like to knit the model Cumulus round neck from a Sandnes yarn.
Which yarn would be suitable and how do I order the knitting pattern.

Thank you very much for the help.
Many greetings Margot Herzberg

PS.: I look forward to the knitting coffee every week anew!!!

Sophia

Dear Margot, you mean the Cumulus Blouse O-Neck? Then you can also use Tynn Silk Mohair from Sandnes. Depending on the size, you will need 150 to 275 grams of yarn (the yarn is held double). You can order the pattern from us (then please click here once) or buy them digitally on Ravelry.
