Actually, I had planned to finish knitting my beautiful Lamana jacket in the time "between the years". It's not a real Ufo, so not really a knitting project that has been lying around. But it is a project just for me without deadline pressure. In so far it lies in between like times only around.

As it happens, various illnesses of various family members, a train ride with child (so without real knitting time) and other nice undertakings "intervened" and so it dragged into January that I could bring out this jacket with the lifting stitch definition again. I really like this jacket. It is knitted in two strands of Cusi, which just gets super cozy.

I'm also absolutely happy with my color choice and if you ever want to knit this jacket, I can only double and triple recommend to knit two swatches in different combination of the colors beforehand. I've mentioned it before, but I like to remind you of the different effect you can achieve with it (see picture).

We knitted the jacket from the bottom up, whereby I knitted the front parts and the back part together until the increase of the sleeves. I found easier than sewing together. At the sleeves, however, I have to separate the parts again to lead the pattern in the "bat sleeves" with up.

The knitting kit for this jacket is available (also with the pattern in the magazine) of course here in my store.

I'm going to link myself at my "On the Needles".
