We at Maschenfein consider the common opinion that knitting is only something for the cold season to have been disproved long ago. So many beautiful summer designs and numerous matching yarns make our favorite hobby in and for the vacations also irresistible. We all know them: endless long drives to the vacation destination. And often garnished with one or the other traffic jam. On top of that, there are bickering children. Here's our fine knitting tip: DVD player or tablet for the little ones (pedagogy must be handled flexibly) and a mindless knitting project for you. Simple stockinette stitch in rounds can be so wonderful! And at the end you are rewarded with the Lola Kjole from Sandnes, for example. Yes, it takes time. In general: dresses. They simply have to be! In the Maschenfein store you will find a variety of designs. From round to V-neck, with stripes or without, in rib pattern or in brioche - it's all there. And also in terms of needle size, everything is on offer.

Endurance knitters simply take their feel-good needle size 3 mm and knit, for example, the Shore Tee by Anne Ventzel from Tynn Line by Sandnes. 4 mm needles are used for the maschenfein top Cosima from Cosma by Lamana and 5 mm needles for all friends of a neat sprint for the Alice Top by PetiteKnit. Here you knit with Tykk Line from Sandnes. As always, of course, check your gauge! But you need a reference point and a rough direction. Otherwise you will not get to the goal or on vacation!

Of course, you can't forget the right needles for your project. We now have so many beautiful manufacturers in the store - everyone should find the right set. Of course, we are happy to help you if you have questions about the different systems. Our advice: If necessary, first try out a single pair of needles to see if you like the feel before investing in a whole set. And: We have found that some yarns knit better on metal - and vice versa. So it pays to have one or the other needle in both versions in stock. This works especially well with the manufacturer Chiagoo.
