"We apologize for the delay." That's probably how Deutsche Bahn would put it. I'm going to do something similar: I'm late with Auf den Nadeln - and I'm really sorry about that!

Somehow something always got in the way. But now it's finally time and the Maschenfein team is only too happy to tell you what they are working on.

Louisa has been joining our team for a few weeks now. And as befits a proper debut at Maschenfein, she went straight for the Saturday coffee. Ha!

Sometimes I just have to give in to the Saturday coffee inspiration and start a small intermediate project. If I'm lucky, I at least manage to start with the second sock before the desire for my actual main project comes back 😉 And so long I just knit the Basic socks light from Paula_m from Premium Silk from Regia.

Once again there are socks at Jule. Here, too, the basic inspiration lies with Paula_m - but then the discipline has won.

The beautiful new socks from Paula_m reminded me that I still have a similar looking lonely sock in the wool basket... so I finally put on the second sock from the crown yarn during my skiing vacation Premium Bamboo. Let's hope this pair of socks will be finished someday, hihi....

And again socks. This time at Jule's.

Together with Jule, Sandra takes care of our support, answering your questions about designs, yarns and orders. Not a risk-free activity, if you ask me ...

That can happen when you consult a customer and get stuck on her project. And then the yarn was in the basket and shortly after at home. Well, so now I'm knitting a winter cardigan in the spring awakening. The good thing: For next winter, the Diamond jacket by Anne Ventzel then hopefully certainly ready.

Hard to feed the chipmunk

I myself am still at the very beginning of a new project. So for now: knit stitch samples!

For well-known reasons I turn slowly but surely to the topic of baby knitting. Quite essential is a baby blanket. For the yarn I have chosen Sole from Pascuali. I'm still fiddling around with the pattern, but I'm really looking forward to knitting it!

Black or blue? No matter - the main thing we have in hand for knitting! Applies of course also for Marisa.

While we're finishing up the last to dos for our Mother's Day Shawl Knit-Along, I've been knitting a few rounds on my sweater every now and then My Black V from ChrisBerlin. Good things take time, but it's worth it. And the blue combo of Cheeky Merino Joy from Rosy Green Wool and Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive is just great!

What is good for us right now

We're sure you feel the same way we do: In times like these, our thoughts can simply take a roller coaster ride. In order not to lose the overview or confidence, we have noticed that - in addition to knitting, of course - a long walk is really good for us.

Observing that nature just doesn't care about the world standing on its head and everything is about to switch into spring mode makes our thoughts brighter. For a moment, bad images fade into the background like that. And we are already insanely looking forward to next weekend: Because that's when we get together as a team and start the pre-sale for the Mother's Day Knit-Along. Two things that will definitely lift your spirits! What are you guys up to?
