A wonderful good morning to the Saturday coffee with a little this and that from the knitting world and quite a lot Maschenfein. For today's coffee there is once again (not exclusively, but) something more for the heavier needles. For quick knitting, so to speak, because that is now where Christmas is approaching not so unimportant. Of course there is still plenty of time, but not everyone has so much knitting time. Since one is also grateful for quick projects, right?

Hats, for example, are quite grateful gift ideas, such as the Pebble Beanie by Alicia Dobney - Lee & Evelyn. The pattern are available on Ravelry in English and knitted with about 12mm needles. Perfectly matches our Rowan Big Wool in the most beautiful colors and of course the Premium Fox Pompom. And if you are missing such heavy needles, you will of course find them in our accessories.

Matching the hat you could also knit the sweater Passerby by Erika Knight from Rowan Big Wool. This tutorial is also available on Ravelry in sizes XS to XL. Goes super fast and has very certainly a great fit!

Going down a few needle sizes, we might end up with the Farmhouse Cardigan by Amy Christoffers (go here for the tutorial on Ravelry), cast on about 5.5mm needles, which is still insanely heavy for some. Very, very noble, but some among us have already knitted cardigans from it, would be the variant from Rowan Sultano or (also noble) Blue Sky Extra.

Also from the needles of Amy Christoffers is the Felix Cardigan (here the tutorial on Ravelry). You could knit it from Rowan Cocoon, a mega blend of merino and mohair, ideal for cozy warm winter projects.

The new Sandnes Magazine 1916 is here! We have all the knitting kits already posted for you and my favorite is this sweater, the Aksgenser 1916-02 (go here for our knitting kit). It is knit in rounds from Tynn Alpakka Ull and Tynn Silk Mohair. Totally plain, with a fine detail on the sleeve seams, which of course are not "seams" because they are seamless, haha! I like it a lot! And the color anyway, hach!

Here you can find all kits from the 1916 magazine at a glance.

Also beautiful is this one, the Aksaker 1916-06 (you can find the knitting kit here). This true pattern explosion is also knitted from Tynn Alpakka Ull and Tynn Silk Mohair.

And now hold on tight! We have picked up many more new Blue Sky yarns and are ordering them for you on demand, because they are all very exquisite. Blue Sky Techno, for example, is something I've been lurking around for a year. It's the all-natural counterpart to Køs by Sandnes Yarn, which I've already told you about. Again, the wool and alpaca fibers are "blown" into a net, but with Techno, that net is not nylon but... silk! The yarn is wonderfully light, beautifully warm and all those of you who want to do without artificial fibers will have their true joy with it. Try it out! But please note the slightly longer delivery time for these yarns until further notice.

The beautiful big stole above on the left picture is worked from Techno, the knitting kit for it, so to the Tamarack Blanket Scarf is now available in the store.

Also the yarn Blue Sky Brushed Suri is now available in all colors in the store. Matching the knitting kit from this yarn, the Callaway Cable Scarf.

And last but not least, for all Blue Sky fans, we now also offer Woolstock made from the wool of Peruvian highland sheep. Once "normal (left) and once in the Jumbo variant (right).

So here is the thinner version for Blue Sky Woolstock for a gauge of 20-24 stitches and for example the Endless Wrap in the picture.

Or (back to the heavy needles) the Blue Sky Woolstock Jumbo for example for the Jumbo Pom Hat. If that one doesn't go fast!

Maschenfein Knitting round on Instagram

Let's get to our weekly roundup on Instagram. Osaka everywhere!

Osaka is really a phenomenon in waves. Again and again, year in, year out, there are these Osaka waves. An Osaka just belongs to it. Don't you think? Here you can find the Osaka knitting kit, where you can choose from predefined color combinations or create your own. Christiane (left) with a great color combination has not started yet. Maschenmind has chosen an earthy color combination and is already finished.

Gauge love, yes stitch samples belong in the Maschenfein knitting round of course. Julia loves stitch samples and great accessories like our Twig & Horn needle gauge in large (supplies are on the way, got stuck in customs, terrible skill, but solved). Louisa has something really precious on the needles; Rowan Sultano fine. Yes what for but bloss :)?

And last but not least, there are many Pico Finos on the needles. Claudia's Pico Fino is already finished, she had a little head start and was one of the testers. Tina was also so turbo fast and even has the matching hat ready. You can see my Pico Fino here on the needles. Click here for the Pico Fino pattern and here for the matching knitting kit. Oh and here I had reported about the cloth in the blog.

What else is on the needles in the Maschenfeinen Strickrunde you can read at "Auf den Nadeln - November", or at "Auf den Nadeln - Oktober" (there is already more to see).

And if you feel even more like browsing and reading, you can also now read our latest newsletter, which fluttered into all inboxes of our newsletter subscribers on Wednesday. It's worth subscribing!

Have a great weekend!
