A nice summery good morning to Saturday coffee, again with a little net talk.

Knitting Blog Ideas

Not that I do not have enough lying here, but I would so like to strike something new. Therefore, the last week was marked here by project rummage. I'm looking for a cardigan for the fall. Or so.

Very, very, very it has me the / the / the Damejakka Loppa from Pinneguri. It has a lot of things I would like to try: many color patterns and a steek. I don't know if such a cardigan with sohooo many colors would ever be finished on me (and then also on 2.5 and 3mm needles), but I spent evenings last week thinking about possible color combinations. If then I would like the basic color beige with not too strong accent for cuffs and placket, with the color pattern in different shades of blue.

In general, I like many pattern of Norwegian knitwear designers incredibly well. I've already linked Marianne J. Bjerkman, for example. Unfortunately, most of tinstructionsttern are not available in English, let alone German. I'm slowly but surely working on changing that.

But of course there are other cardigans that I like! The Katrine Cardigan, Discocape, Meritance and True for example.

When Felicia from The Craft Sessions posted her Me Made May Roundup the other day, I was hard-pressed to see so much home-knitted and -sewn wardrobe. I've got some work to do on that one.

By the way, the one on top of the picture is Cardiff Cashmere and I think it's so wonderful. You get it for example at Sophia in the shop. I had, after the color card is lying around here since the h&h fair, treated myself to a ball in Wasserburg on vacation, because I really wanted to test it. It is dreamlike!

Oh and have you already discovered the new Knit Along at Woolspire? There is a summer top knitted according to a tutorial by a Danish knitwear designer (the pattern are of course included in the kit in German). I'm not the type for mohair as a top in summer, but I find it very pretty! Maybe someone of you still has a desire to join.

By the way, Woolspire is having a big summer sale on all kinds of yarns and needles - in case you still need to fill up your stock.

Have a great summer weekend!
