Christmas Stocking - Knitting pattern

The Christmas stocking from PetiteKnit is a beautiful accessory for children in the (pre-)Christmas season, as a Santa Claus stocking, storage for Christmas post or classically as a place for Christmas presents.
Knit from the waistband to the toe in stockinette stitch. The heel is shaped using short rows. The stocking is felted before the leather strap is attached to it.
Size
Dimensions before felting: width = 22 cm, shaft length = 40 cm, foot length = 30 cm
Dimensions after felting: width = 17 cm, shaft length = 34 cm, foot length = 26 cm
Recommended yarn: Sandnes - Fritidgarn (100 % virgin wool)
Gauge: 15 sts = 10 cm stockinette stitch on 5.5 mm needles
