Description

JIM Sweater - PDF knitting pattern

PDF knitting pattern from Paula_M

The JIM Sweater is a boxy cut striped sweater in the style of a classic Marinières. An all-rounder that combines well and is not only suitable for the cold days, but also fits perfectly in the summer.

The JIM Sweater is knitted seamlessly top down. First, the neckline cuff is knitted in 2/2 rib pattern in rounds and increases are worked for the shoulder slope. For the armholes, the front and back pieces are knitted separately in back and forth rows. After that, the stitches of the front and back pieces are combined and knitted in rounds again. The sweater ends with a narrow ribbed cuff. Finally, stitches from the armholes are picked up and the sleeves are knitted in a 2/2 rib pattern. Since the sweater is knitted from the top down, it is possible (and advisable) to try it on while knitting, so that the length of the body as well as of the
sleeves can be adjusted individually.
