Description
Hey Mama Wolf - Ylva
Ylva by Hey Mama Wolf is a yarn made from fibers of German sheep that are vegetable dyed in Austria. This yarn is the origin of Hey Mama Wolf. The raw wool comes from small sheep farms in northern and eastern Germany and is dyed by hand in Vienna using vegetable dyes. The vegetable dyes are carefully tested for wash and light fastness so that you can enjoy your knitwear for a long time.
With Ylva you actively support small German sheep farms, which often have difficulties selling their wool at a reasonable price. German wool is rustic and durable without being particularly rough. It is also ideal for knitting textured and brioche patterns or for multi-colored knitting.
Responsibility
Hey Mama Wolf attaches great importance to sustainably produced yarns. All fibers come from Europe, some even from Germany, where appropriate animal welfare standards apply. Dyeing is also as sustainable as possible, preferably with vegetable dyes in Vienna. Some yarns are GOTS-certified and therefore meet particularly high standards.
