Description

Esther Sweater - Knitting pattern

printed pattern from PetiteKnit

The Esther Sweater by PetiteKnit is a beautiful sweater with a textured pattern made up of knit and purl stitches.
The Esther Sweater is knitted seamlessly from the top down. First, stitches are cast on for the back and this is knitted in the pattern up to the shoulders. Increases are made to create the shoulder slants at the same time. In the second step, stitches for the shoulders are picked up from these and knitted separately. Below the neckline, both parts are joined to form the front piece and also knitted up to the armpits. There, the back and front pieces are joined to form the body and knitted in rounds to the hem. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the armholes and knitted in the pattern in rounds to the cuff. Finally, stitches are also picked up at the neckline and a double ribbed cuff is worked.
