Aava Cardigan

The Aava Cardigan is a classic cardigan with a moderate scoop neckline, which you can wear all year round and which can be combined wonderfully.
It is knit seamlessly top down, starting at the neckline, using the Contiguous method. The neckline is formed with short rows, at the same time the shoulder area is worked with increases slanting to the right and left. Then increases are worked for the sleeves. In the third step, classic raglan increases are knitted. After cutting off the sleeves, the body is knitted in rows and ends with a ribbed cuff. You can choose between the boxy boxy shape or the classic shape with decreases.
The sleeves are knitted in rounds and also have ribbed cuffs. Finally, stitches are picked up from the side edges of the front pieces and the facings are worked.
You can choose between a classic ribbed facing or a more elaborate double face facing (double knit facing) in a tunnel pattern.
The double knit facing requires more yarn due to the knitting method.
Please keep this in mind and have 1 ball more yarn ready if you want to knit this variation.
