ITO Sensai Scarf

A feather-light dream is this large shawl made of ITO Sensai (60% mohair, 40% silk), which weighs only between 120-130g. With its dimensions of approx. 180 cm x approx. 68 cm, it can be worn as a shoulder scarf or as a shawl. The scarf is made in a small knitting factory in Japan on a fine knitter with a very fine stitch definition, which can hardly be achieved by hand knitting.

For those who prefer to knit a similar shawl by hand, we recommend the pattern ITO Osaka & 5 balls of ITO Sensai in the desired color. The stitch definition will be somewhat coarser with ITO No. 6 号 (3.9 mm) needles.

Sensai is a delicate mohair yarn with a silk content of 40%. With a yardage of 240 m per 20 g, it is light as a feather and particularly luxurious. It is suitable for very light scarves and shawls, or very well as a supplementary thread for other ITO qualities.
