The ELLA Jumper is a trapezoidal cut oversize sweater that falls similar to a bat sweater. The jumper is knitted from the top down by picking up stitches from the knitted pieces. Start with the first facing and front piece first, shaping the dropped shoulders with short rows. For the deep V-neck, increases are worked, for the arm slope decreases are worked and knitted first up to the arm neckline.

The second front piece and also the back piece are knitted on directly by picking up stitches and also worked up to the armhole. Then all three parts are closed on one needle to the round and finished together. Further decreases are worked for the side slope on the bottom piece.

The sleeves are also knitted directly by picking up stitches from the armholes. The top-down technique makes it very easy to adjust the model to personal measurements. The pattern include a detailed model sketch with all the necessary measurements.

As a design element, the jumper has pretty ruffled rows and beautiful wide lifting stitch cuffs at the hem and sleeve hem.
