On Instagram I have shown a few days ago a very simple three-knitted shawl for the little miss, which I have knitted predominantly garter stitch. Some places I have knitted smooth in the form of hearts and these then later embroidered with a contrasting thread.

With the help of the stitch, you can easily incorporate different colored motifs into a knitted piece without having to work in multiple threads or use the intarsia technique. Small errors in the knitted piece or even holes (!) can also be easily repaired in this way.
